The source also said McNabb believe either he or Garcia will be playing in Tampa next year".

HA! McNabb in Tampa? He'll be puking more than Karen Carpenter!

Wait.....

*checks schedule*

The Eagles don't play in Tampa next year. That could be the only logical explanation for that comment.

Momma McNutts I wish you would shut your BIG YAPPER!!!

"What I said in my blog was from my heart, it was my thoughts," she said. "What bothered me the most was that it got the attention it got. I really didn't think anybody was readin' it - I've been blogging for the past year, when I leave a game, and what have you. I've been doing it in different manners, however I felt. I just got my own Web site [MamaMcNabb.com] and I was doing something on Donovan's to get it going... That's the thing, the attention that it got. I apologize to Donovan that it got such a big hoopla, but what I said was what I felt."

I saw the interview and she came off well for a change.

She basically said:

- She was happy the Eagles were winning.
- She was sad McNabb wsn't part of it.
- She isn't sorry about what she wrote because she wasn't trying to be negative, but she wouldn't do it again based on the reaction it got.
- She wanted to be clear that she wanted the Eagles to keep winning.
- McNabb wasn't happy about her blog entry, so she had to apologize to him.

That was about it.

This Bud's for you, F-d:

From PFW:

Brady deserves credit for improvement in Patriots’ receivers

New England

We hear the tireless work of QB Tom Brady is the biggest reason for the remarkable improvement of journeymen WRs Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney, particularly in the postseason. Word is Brady began building up Caldwell, an offseason free-agent signee, in training camp by repeatedly encouraging him and talking him up to the media and to his teammates. Once Gaffney was signed during the team’s Week Six bye, he joined his former University of Florida teammate in working hard to build a rapport with Brady. In fact, we hear that Brady even took Caldwell and Gaffney aside and ran pass routes to show them how he wanted them run and when he wanted them to break so that they knew where he was going to throw the ball. Hundreds of passes later, the confidence shown by the trio began showing up in games. Although Caldwell had a couple of costly drops in the AFC title-game defeat, both receivers appear to have played themselves into prominent roles for the 2007 season. We also hear that much credit goes to WR coach Brian Daboll, a young, hungry assistant who has also worked tirelessly to coach up the newcomers.

He absolutely deserves a lot of credit. That said, if he would have had better WRs, they would have won that game.

I don't have a transcript, but McNabb's ress conference should pretty much squash all the rumors out there.

He obviously hates Philly (specifically the fans and media) with a furious passion, but he refuted every rumor out there with a sound explanation/argument...thought he did a good job overall.

The Philly media is still up in arms about the other press conbference being cancelled, though. Of all the answers he gave yesterday, the one regarding why the press conference was cancelled last week drew the most interest from he panel on DNL.

I don't know what reasons he has specifically, but he was boo'd in his first second of being an Eagles and it's been a bumpy ride ever since.

I wish he didn't take it all so personally, but I can't fault him for not liking the Philly fans, either.

There's a rumor out of Detroit that Super 5 is going to the Lions in exchange for the 2nd pick in the draft.

I think McNabb would look good in a Lions uniform.

It's not a rumor at all, as f-d pointed out.

Again, a minority of fans, 30 in this case that were there for a radio stunt, is a reason to dislike the city? I hate those guys, too.

Vocal minority and almost 100% of the media.

How could he possibly understand that, though? I was listening to the press conference yesterday and one of the questions was "There was a recoent poll of Philadelphia fans and over 60% (I forget the actual %, but it was a majority) want Jeff Garcia to be the starting QB next year. How did you react to that?"

I saw a poll on teh Eagles message boards with a few thousand responses and 86% wanted McNabb over Garcia.

We did a little informal poll here and non one said Garcia.

Still, McNabb doesn't search the internet for message board polls of the real fans. The media brings bad news to him, without context, and say "The fans hate you...how do you feel about that?"

I don't think he gets an accurate representation of how the fans feel about him and I don't know how he could.

He should probably realize by now it's the vocal minority, like pretty much else does. It's not hard. But, that's part of not being a baby.

Sorry brutha, but you cannot grant this soft, pampered baby who's been told how great he was his entire life, the free pass by saying "he has a reason".

Stop. This cat's a mental pouter.

He got booed by 30 drunks, plied with booze on a radio station's chartered bus so they'd get the publicity they sought, and he cant get over this?

A real leader, man etc. would maybe harness some of that "I'll show them" mentality and go out and impress/win em over (like, oh I dunno, Garcia did???) and be done with it.

This guy has in his mind, every criticism (all unfair in HIS mind, no matter how valid many have been - see the unwillingness to run angle) etched in his selective memory and actually feels like some sorta victim. Shut UP. Stop looking BACKWARDS and just get your plump butt ready for opening day, stop whinning.

Not to mention, when things are goin well for him on the field, at the Linc, or when he exits the tunnel pre game each Sunday, he sure seems to not mind playin here then. He seems to play to the crowd some, use the noise and frenzy in the place to help psych himself up etc. I dunno, I just think the cat just DOES NOT GET IT, in many areas and bein a QB in Philly, is atop that list.

You don't think he's done that? He's never wilted under the pressure of the fans or media. Every time they are calling for his head, he bounces back stronger and plays better.

McNabb is the most criticized athlete in Philly history, and that says something. Saying "Oh well...he should be our punching bag and not care" isn't exactly a compelling point.

He's toughing it out, he's continued to improve, he isn't openly bitching about it, and he isn't requesting a trade like most other Philly "greats" have.

The only thing he's not doing (that people want to see him do) is enjoy his beating.

Come on...

How is he supposed to understand this when no other superstar athlete in this town ever did?
