I think its time to address the possability of Andy reducing his role as either GM or head coach. My cousin is the DA for a county near philly and says the kids are in big time trouble and has heard both kids are on the horse. Andy has 3 younger children and may have finally realized that sleeping 4 nights at the office a week is not great for your childs development.

Man, thank goodness for an inside source that told you the kids are in trouble. How would we have known otherwise?

I do agree that it's starting to get interesting. Zilch from the family OR the Eagles.
I think most coaches would power right through this, but I think Reid could feel some faith-based guilt over this and feel obligated to resign or take a hiatus.
The question now is when will the decision come and what direction will the Birds go?
I DO NOT want to see Marty running this team even though I'm fine with him as the OC.

Reid has to hate having every body up in his business.
Reid has to do what it takes to get his house in order. I can't see him doing that and staying on with the Eagles in his current capacity. We'll all know soon enough, because the predicament with his sons is pretty much set and now he has to deal with the legal system.
The situation with the Eagles is up in the air and those time frames move a bit quicker. The combine is coming up, Reid's attendance or non-attendance will speak volumes.

I always wanted to see the back of either Andy the Coach or Andy the GM. I have no faith in his ability to handle both jobs.
As a fan, I'll be glad if he gives up one of his hats. As a Dad, I feel bad for him.

If he gives up head coaching duties, we are fucked. Marty will becomme HC and we will be kicking when we win the coin toss in OT. I wouldnt mind seeing him step down as president.
Kb, i was simply stating that that despite no federal charges from the gun shit, he has heard that they had found MUCH more drugs than reported and that one of them may face significant traffiking charges. To make matters worse, they were found in the house.

Yeah, some lawyer came on WIP yesterday and said that if drugs were found in the house, the DA could confiscate the house (very short version of the call). I don't know if it'll happen in this case, but between that and the possible civil suit involved, it is not going to be a happy road.

First and foremost, I am really feeling for the Reid's...
I also think some here are forgetting Reids' right hand man isn't Marty it's JJ they built the team together, so IMO if Reid has to step away in some fashion ,to help his family I'm not that worried Johnson will get his shot at being Head coach without having to leave Philly so that could be a good thing.
PLUS don't forget Reid is famous, rich, and religious I have a pretty good feeling that his kids will get in trouble BUT IMO not likely to do jail time.

You could be right there.
I kinda assumed it would be Marty if they have to go down that road because he had head coachign experience, but maybe JJ would be the guy.

We're kinda mixing the two thread here, but the more that comes out on these kids the more you realize they seem to be on a destructive path.
Garrett Reid was hit with a possession charge in 2002, which appears to have directly resulted in him be asked to withdraw from BYU.
In 2004, Garrett was busted for shoplifting in Ardmore, PA.
In 2002, Britt was leaving a pancake house and was at fault in an accident where he totalled the other car. They are still in court over that one, but he was never charged with anything for hitting the guy.
Everything up until this point seems like things you could write off as mistakes, but it seems like as they are growing up and in their 20's, they're escalating instead of learning from past transgressions.

If he gives up one, no way it will be the coaching position.

You'd think that, but the guy said that the owner doesn't need to have knowledge for the state to take the house. Crazy, yeah.

From the state's point of view, it would be easy for the owner to be running a drug ring with subordinates but then deny every having knowledge of their activities.
Put it this way, if this case involved anyone other than a wealthy celebrity family, the house could be seized.

The other side is that I could plant drugs in my neighbor's house and call the cops on him.
There's got to be more to it than drugs found, DA can confiscate.

I would GUESS that there would have to be enough drugs there for the DA to believe there was an intent to distribute.
But yeah, the likliness of this happening to Reid's house is the polor opposite of what Reid is - slim.

Ok, just read the state law. They can only confiscate the house if they find that it was bought with drug money, or if it was used as the place to sell drugs. Plus, you have to establish the person that owns the house knew the sales were happening there.
Even then, it doesn't happen often, so it's not really a matter of celebrity
