Because Wade Phillips will be brought in as the new Cowboys coach. This is bad comedy. But get ready to shine up another NFC East plaque!

Love it. With Jones deciding between Phillips and Turner, it seems like he was looking for a puppet who would let him assume control again. Neither of these guys were even candidates for any other job, but they were the top 2 choices for the Cowboys? That's just awesome.

That's IF FB decides to step down F_B. Phillips has always been a bad head coach. The best thing you can say about him is that he's very good at defense (if you're hoping him to turn out like Belichek). But other than that, he's meh.

I wonder which black coaching prospect they were forced to interview before making this decision.

Didn't Jones try to angle for Rivera as his minority puppet of interest before settling on Fozzie Phillips over Kermit Turner?

I wonder which black coaching prospect they were forced to interview before making this decision. Does the Spector of Death count? He wears a black robe and his hands are just bones, so you can't really tell which color of skin he had.

There interviewed at least three minority candidates Singletary, Rivera and one of their current coaches (secondary?).

"There interviewed at least three minority candidates Singletary, Rivera and one of their current coaches (secondary?)." That effectively puts an end to the idea that Jones was forced to interview a minority candidate. They also interviewed Dungy's assistant head coach, also a black man.

BD's right. The Rooney rule has gone too far.

As per Rush Limbaugh, interviewing Barack Obama only counts for ½
