OK, so this is a position of need for the Eagles, They need a replacement for Trot, he's got 1-2 good years left?!? and both outside backers could use an upgrade... There is potential but seriously they need more than just potential...

I know it's just being an Eagles fan to dream like this but anyone think there is an outside shot of (as Banner stated the Jets are shopping Vilma) or (this is even way more outside) the Eagles try and trade to get Briggs from Chicago??? In all honesty if they were somehow able to make one or both of those moves(I know it won't happen) I would consider this offseason a huge success... and if they could get both I'd almost be willing to forgo the draft...

You gotta trade the precious to make either of those deals, and we both know that ain't happening. If they did make that trade and parted with draft picks, how on Earth could they find fat linemen who won't play a single snap this year or undersized linebackers who can bounce off of the ballcarrier with ping-pong-like dexterity?

So, if you consider this site's predictive history, Darren Howard last year, Curtis this year, shouldn't we be looking at all the under-30 linebackers, that aren't star quality, that might be available?

And by the way, Spuds is all excited that something is in the works and guarantees that we'll be excited at Eagles chances by the start of the season.
