I have no idea what he weighs, but I think you might be thinking of a different guy. 250 is his listed weight at NFL.com, but he was a defensive end at Cal and weighed in at over 260 lbs. at the NFL combine when he came out (same year as McDougle).

- Patrick Ramsey (who I didn't even know was a free agent) has signed a 2 year $5 million deal with the Broncos with a $1.5 million bonus. Len Pastabelly reported it as "Broncos land coveted backup"...keep it in your pants, man.

- This one came a couple days ago, but Daniel Graham signed a 5 year $30 million deal with the Broncos that includes a reported $15.5 million in guarantees. I can only assume that's just a completely fabricated number (like a $10 million roster bonus in 2012 or something like that), but it's the number out there. I hope everyone is paying attention to the numbers TE's are getting, though. LJ won't be an Eagle in 2008 unless they franchise him, so keep an eye out for a TE in this draft.

- Jamal Lewis signed a 1 year $3.5 million deal with the Browns.

- A report has leaked ssaying Joe Horn has signed on with the Falcons, but the Falcons aren't confirming it yet. It sounds liek they are very close, but haven't agreed to specific terms yet.

Can you believe Reno Mahe, the best special teams player in football according to the Eagles, hasn't latched on with someone yet??? I mean, he saves a team 6 roster spots by sucking at 6 different positions...why aren't they jumping on him?

In all honestly, the fact that Rod Hood is still on the market is almost as surprising as the fact that Stallworth's still out there.

I heard the Eagles signed Bethel Johnson a WR. I must live in a cave.

Who is he again?

That's what's out there.

He's really fast, never really productive, and is pimarily a kick returner at this point.

They are just preppin themselves for when some team comes and whisks Reno away.

I have to think he's strictly here for return purposes, no?

Adam Shefter reports the Bethel Johnson contract is a one year deal.

Shefter also reports that Kevin Curtis will be arriving in Philly for a visit today.

Mormon WR who played at Utah, is older than he should be because of his mormon mission, and doesn't presently have an agent (since he fired Condon).

Banner may actually try to eat his heart and mount him at the entrance of the Novacare complex.

But he has enuff of a track record around the league that D Coordinators must respect his speed, and I think thats the interesting part for Philly- they're lookin to run the same offense as last yr and need a speed guy.

I think Seth is talking about Curtis now and I agree.

However, he's small, light, never really started, almost 30...

He's certainly better than nothing, but I'm just not thrilled. Whatever he gets, Stallworth could be had for not much more.

Another that's weird is for all his speed, he's never averaged more than 13.4 yards per catch. I don't want to kil the guy, but I dunno...

My favorite quote from Spuds' article on the Bethel Johnson signing:

"But Mahe is an unrestricted free agent and is destined to move on at this time of the year."

Wait, are those birds chirping? Suddenly, everything seems brighter!

I haven't watched the Eagles a ton in the last couple of seasons, but whenever I see Greg Lewis play, he reminds me of Curtis, just a little bit. It might just be their similarities in size, but the both seem like similar WR's to me.

I like Curtis a lot, BTW. I know that he wants to be a starter. When Bruce went down at the end of 2004, Curtis put up great numbers, including in the playoffs. Similarly, when Bruce missed five weeks in 2005 Curtis put up solid numbers again. He's not much for running through traffic; he'd rather go down on his own then try to make some guys miss. Martz must have coached all his WR's to this though. That said, he can get behind the safeties with the best of 'em.
