Guys- look at this thread, or this site for that matter, of Bills fans.

Get your Motard Fix here

Be grateful for the types of guys who post here.

Some highlights:

"Walker was the second best player on the Iggle defense last year. He's a solid player."

Um,,,

The guy defines average, yet this astoute observer feels otherwise-

"I've seen more than my fair share of Eagle games, and I can assure you that Darwin Walker can flat-out play."

Here's a guy I would like to contact and wager a mortgage or two with:

"Take it to the bank (Thread title)
Philadelphia won't make the playoffs this year; the Bills will."

Darwin Walker- Difference maker. He's that final piece to every team's puzzle.

In fairness, there were just as many posters who expressed their doubts that this was anything more than a slight upgrade.

I went to a Bills board yesterday before the trade and they were going the opposite way on Spikes.

They were expected a 1st or 2nd round pick in return and questioning whether the Bills were trying to tank the season by dealing him and McGahee.

Gotta love 'em.

Hey, when you go after Holcomb, you have to offer some talent in return.

I wouldn't put them in "Extreme" territory just yet- I'll have to read more of their posts.

"I like what I'm hearing about Walker and the paper on him supports it. Over 5 sacks a year for the past 5 years playing from the middle, and a reputation for getting runners to the ground. Since there's little value in today's NFL at pissing away a #12 on a running back, the Walker Trade looks to me to give us tremendous flexibility come draft day."

Oh my.

I feel like I'm waiting for the Bills' fans to tell the story of how they banished the evil lemon tree from the land of Sheby, I mean, Buffalo, while drinking a glass of fresh squeezed turnip juice.

FB, havent seen that yet- plz link. Would be interested in seein those threads. I am only in my 4th one and its one that echos what FD says he saw on a Bills site yesterday-

They actually had someone 'report' the deal as Spikes for Walker and a pick, thought to be a third.

When CONDITIONAL slips in, they're sayin "It better be a third at least!" etc.

When they realize it's a late day conditional, one trooper says "likely a 6th".

When its decided its a 2008 7th rounder, the spin begins.

Kinda funny.

Bass- I saw that.

I was thinking "As opposed to gettin em tucked into bed for nappy-poo in a timely manner"??

OF COURSE TO THE GROUND YOU DOPES!~ THEY'RE BEING TACKLED>!

And in case you havent noticed- many of thier articles are written by their own posters and it seems as if they cite these stories as credible, reliable, unbiased write ups....all favorin the bills side, naturally.

The whole "Marv gets a B+" post almost made me spit out my water. For a bunch of nerds (cf. Willis), they seem to know how to use a sliding scale.

The first thing that jumps out at me is that this guy admits that he lives in the Lehigh Valley. I tell people that I grew a hobo so that they don't know that I lived there.

Here's something they brought up that probably has little to no cred, but should be noted -

They think Holcomb could be a credible backup should McNabb not be ready to play come the fall. When you add in that Spikes himself could've been had for Walker and next year's 7th, it makes it stand out just a bit.

Just a theory. And for the record, I do believe 5 will be ready by at least the 3rd preseason game.

I read a couple more of threads over there, and while I'll still say they aren't quite at the level of "Extreme" (didn't see any Super Bowl exclamations), they seem to be very optimistic about their chances.

What I don't understand is that a lot of them seem to be MOST optimistic about their offense this year. Why, I have no clue. Losman is garbage. But at least a few of them acknowledge that if Spikes returns close to his pre-injury form, then the Eagles will have gotten the better of the deal. They all seem to think that that's not gonna happen (aka Sam Cowart)...

Again, do they have a stainless steal diner in "The City"? No?

Diner envy...plain and simple!

In fact, I might go to that diner on the way home from work and enjoy a smoke and an Icy Tea at my table.

SMOKING AT A TABLE?!?!?!

That's right.

Another gem:

Thats why he was only showing up for half a game because the Eagles don't rotate in and out and Walker was out there for the whole game almost.
But he said with our rotational system Walker should be a stud.

Thank Jebus for their rotational system. Walker was stuck splitting time with only 4 or 5 other tackles on gameday (including Howard in Nickel) , but now he'll finally get the breather he needs to dominate!

I didn't read that part.

That's comic gold, FD.

Next thing they'll tell us is the reason teams had long runs against the Eagles is because the secondary didn't do their job after Walker made the runner change direction.

Yeah but FD, he got that "Nice dab of info from a Philly fan" who visits the same gaming site "Maddenrules.com" or whatever this dolt cited as where he met up with the knowledgeable, loyal and passionate" (and blind)Eagles fan.

Because we all know that if Walker would have tackled the runner, he would have tackled him...TO THE GROUND!

I post over at a gaming forum called Maddenplanet.com

Credibility blown up like Dhani Jones on a strong side tackle. Can't believe someone actually posted that and expected it to enhance his credibility.

Can anyone here be taken seriously if they said they posted to a Madden site and tried to give non-joke information? Seth? FD? Talon? Anyone?

He DID mention that Walker was smart. So that just means he's Wile E. Coyote. Yes, Walker is a smart guy, but it didn't seem to translate that way when Hugh ripped him that one time.

Still, this stuff's not as good as ES.

But these fellas seem so innocent and naive in a way- the ES bunch is beyond clueless and yr in and yr out- each summer- "YOU ARE WRONG!" and "HOW MANY RINGS? YOU'LL SEE BABY! BOWL BOUND IN THE BELTWAY" are the mantras.

It's like they're all sharin a Manatee's brain, and they are incapable of learning.
