I am waiting for Sharpton to protest the severity of both of them, all the while calling for Imus to get fired when all he did was say something stupid, not break any law.

Funny you mention that GGB.
See new post in concourse, material ironically provided by one BD via e mail.
As for this suspension? LOVE IT (both, actually).

I agree that this is a good move.
They should change Goddell's name to "Blinky".

The decision to waive Carroll follows NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's edict that teams will be held responsible for their players' misconduct. Goodell suspended Tennessee cornerback Adams "Pacman" Jones for the 2007 season and suspended Cincinnati receiver Chris Henry for the first eight games. Both players had a history of arrests.
Carroll was Jacksonville's fifth player arrested since September.
Safety Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested in March in Kingsport, Tenn., and charged with speeding and carrying a firearm without a permit.
Receiver Charles Sharon was arrested in March in Tampa, Fla. Sharon was charged with grand theft of a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm, both felonies.
Offensive tackle Khalif Barnes was arrested in November on a drunken-driving charge after he passed a police car at 101 mph. Cornerback Brian Williams was arrested on drunken-driving charges in September.

So what do you think happens when they find out Mike Vick was the dogfighting mastermind behind it all? How are they gonna sack their cash cow/media darling?

I think they are going to slam the book on him. who better to set an example of? I wonder if the falcons would have made the Schaubb trade knowing Vick is the modern day Cruella Deville.

I love the idea that he breeds the Presa Canario and stipulates that they don't sell any of these dogs for fighting.
Those things are about 130 lbs. and look like a cross between a mastiff and a pit. I'm pretty sure they used almost exclusively for fighting at some point in the history of the breed.

Last month, Steinberg quoted Williams as saying his interest in eastern philosophy had overcome his desire for mind-altering substances.
That sentence is a classic. Apparently eastern philosophy lost out to quality Columbian activities.

In a Friday afternoon interview with our buddy Steve Duemig of 620 WDAE in Tampa, Chris Landry of Fox Sports Radio said that former Atlanta Falcons defensive back Ray Buchanan told Landry on the weekend of the NFL draft that Vick is directly involved in dog fighting.
Said Landry of his discussion with Buchanan: "He tells me that Michael has been into this dog fighting for so long that . . . .he not only knew about, he is behind all of it, he's paying for all of it. . . . Apparently, he's into it big time."
Landry also said that Vick was actively recruiting teammates to become involved in the "sport." The audio of the Landry interview can be heard right here.
Buchanan was a member of the Falcons for the first three years of Vick's career.
It'll be interesting to see what Buchanan has to say when someone calls him up in response to this item.

Poor Ricky.
Any of this misinformed club still think that the physical addictiveness of MJ matters even a little bit?

Yeah, I don't think he's addicted to it, I just think he loves it. The guy lived in a tent and studied holistic medicine, that's the kind of guy he is.

um Duh!
My point is that physical addiction is irrelevant.
One of the true indicators of addiction is how high the behavior is on a person's priority list.
And Ricky is as addicted as a person can be.
