I'd say "Yes" for Andrews at this point.

Bloom? I think he's gone. He looks slow for whatever reason and Spuds has been drilling him, which means he has the green light because he's unlikely to make the team.

Barring a HUGE game Thursday, I'd say this might be the end of the road for Bloom.

That's really surprising with Bloom - how could they have turned around so quickly? Westbrook back returning kicks/punts won't do. Who gets it if it's not Bloom? Lito? Anybody But Reno?

Might as well bring back Brian Mitchell.

He must be really disappointing the coaches in some way. I'd be looking at the waiver wire over the next 2 weeks. They may be finding their kick returner there...

I'll lose my mind if Reno is re-signed.

And yeah, fagel, Reno's as good as re-signed, which will drive everyone nuts, but will elicit the response of "Well, it's only because Dorsey Levens won't return my calls".

I can pretty much tell you that Capt Crab Fries will be back. The fact that Bloom was returning kicks in the opening half of the Steelers preason should have been the first red flag and Spuds calling him out on Pravda is the second red flag. All they have to do now is talk about his knees for the trifecta.

P.S- Don't be suprised if this team has two White Lightnings on the roster as KR/WR Tim Dwight has been released recently if I am not mistaken.

Thank God for his injury. Otherwise, the allure of signing another lame white dude at a speed position might be too much for Reid to resist. Now all we can do is hope that Dwight is not a Mormon.

If Greg lewis was a good kick returner, I just feel like someone would have noticed over the 7 years and they wouldn't just discover it when they are completely out of options.

I heard an interview with Lewis today and he said he's never returned kicks or punts, but they asked him if he'd be willing to try back in mini-camp and he said "Sure".

I can't believe there are less than 32 capable returners in the entire world. There has to be someone out there...right?

There's hardly anyone available that's been in the league. Tim Dwight might as well be Desmond Howard at this point. Might as well go with Duckfoot - freak chance of scoring is better than Reno's no chance of scoring, I guess.

Head coach Andy Reid did not commit to a specific rotation for Thursday's preseason finale but did say a number of roster spots are still up for grabs. Meanwhile, linebacker Craig Kobel was waived/injured to meet the the league-mandated 75-man roster limit.

Rosters must be trimmed to 53 players by 4 p.m. Saturday, so Thursday's game is the final audition for players looking to secure an NFL home in 2007.

"There's still a number of spots that can be determined with this game," said Reid.

A few of those spots are on special teams as second-year man Jeremy Bloom will have one final chance to showcase his skills at punt returner, while Greg Lewis will also get another look. At punter, the Dirk Johnson-Sav Rocca showdown enters its final round, with Johnson getting the start against New York.

As for the cast of characters that will play Thursday, Reid would not get into specifics but did say that the "majority of time would go to the backups." The head coach did say that A.J. Feeley will start at quarterback.

Meanwhile, Reid and his personnel staff are also keeping their eyes on castoffs from the other 31 teams.

I'm just hoping someone gets dumped. believe it or not, Darren Sproles was going to be cut by the Chargers in a roster pinch, but his 81 yard TD return last week likely means they will keep him.

Sometimes returners get squeezed out if the team has a position player who can also return, so I'm hoping a capable guy hits the wire int eh next coupe weeks.

For whatever reason (injury, most likely), Bloom just doesn't seem to have it together. He keeps trying to go east/west and can't beat anyone to the corner. Not much to be excited about.

Is it possible that the return game just isn't getting their blocks? Not trying to make excuses for Bloom (aside from they invested in him and it doesn't seem to be working out for them).

At least that means they get rid of the Bloom ads around my neighborhood. And he's not even black!

It would be a huge upgrade to get a guy like Darren Sproles.
