Looking for a couple of things....
1.Ok, it's the third pre-season game, is Gocong gonna show anything?
2.Is Gaither big enough to play a full, productive season at MLB?
3. Who is playing Saftey besides Considine,Dawk and Mikel?
4. Who's your 2007-2008 punter?
5. How will Kolb look with the first team?
6. Tony Hunt...run, son, run.

This is what I hope for this game:
I hope Westbrook is not allowed anywhere near the field
No injuries, period
I'm totally focused on the LB corps after that I suppose
I'm still pretty darn amped for such a meaningless game.

A Gocang sighting on the first play. Too bad he didn't read the end around coming because he was right there.
Sloppy LB play so far. Whiffs all around.
Nice throw for Rothlisberger. Cole has better hands than most of the receiving corps of the earlier Reid years.

Darn rookie coaches. Why bother challenging a spot so early in the game? If anything challenge the turnover, but the spot?

Haven't the Eagles started with a pass to Kevin Curtis on the first offensive play of every preseason game?

I kind of like the fact that the Eagles are facing back to back 3-4 defenses to close out the preseason (since it is the latest miracle cure)
Don't like that the Eagles are still struggling this bad against it.
Really don't like that McNabb has been hit twice due to misreads all around on the Eagles first possession.

Nice defensive stand. Only "5 yards" on a stretch play where the hold enabled it, a nice blitz to send it to 4th down, and a shank to give the Eagles offense good starting position.

This offensive series is looking much better. Like the McMobility, the smart throw-away, but then he finishes up with the patented McOverthrow resulting in Curtis getting McLaidOut.
That hold/kick looked kind of shaky for a chip shot, but it worked.

I was kind of wondering why Curtis jumped after seeing the replay too. At first glance, I blamed it on McNabb's throw, but when they showed the shot Curtis took, I had to wonder what he was doing.

New defensive series:
Bunkley almost blows up the screen to Kreider
Spikes is a freaking beast. He blew by two blockers to snuff the next screen
Gocong looks to be a fairly decent tackler so far at least.
Considine had position, but couldn't hit the tight end hard enough to seperate him from the ball. Not a good sign.
Lets see a goal line stand...

Kearse looking good on that play. Whether by design or not, the Eagles are getting good penetration.
Mikell the Miracle Man does it again.

Just slightly over Curtis' arms on the first throw.
Buckhalter with the nice run through the huge hole created for him
Curtis has decent hands at least
Unecessary roughness on Reggie? Not a good way to end the quarter, but at least it's entertaining.
