Not surprised on Bloom. Graham, maybe.
Nasti Nate lasted longer than he really should have.

A bit suprised "Nasti Nate" didn't make it, the way everyone on here was so high on him.
Glad to see Rocca on the team.

This list might now be 100% yet (not sure).
On the Eagles message boards, they're deleting all threads pertaining to cuts and Gcobb's list has been removed from his site.
One of two things happened, the list isn't 100% accurate or they do not want the list public yet (either haven't contacted some players or are working on a trade?).
That said, I'm surprised Jordan is on that list.
Nasti Nate? EAG, he's been terrible all pre-season other than on screen passes.

Yes, Cobb's site is where i saw it and there's now a retraction posted asking all to ignore what was posted half hour ago.
(akin to asking the jury to disregard the 'speculative' evidence that the suspect was involved in an affair and had wifey offed)

From Spuds (this is hilarious):
We just dummied in names so that when we actually get the REAL list, we don't have to go through and make the list from scratch. These are not the real names. We don't have the names. I am sure I will get in trouble. We publish a chart in the back end of the admin and made it non-active. We had no idea it went live anywhere. It is not factual at all.

Apparently on the list Spuds did, they actual gave reasons why they were cut, which will be even funnier if some of the guys stick:
Nate Ilaoa (RB) Big back with good hands, needs to develop pass blocking skills
Jason Davis (FB) Good natural runner who worked way back from ACL injury in '06
Jeremy Cain (FB/LS) After playing with the Bears as a linebacker, tried to stick as fullback
Jeremy Bloom (WR) Didn't provide boost in return game as Eagles hoped
J.J. Outlaw (WR) Developed as an outside receiver, but couldn't break numbers crunch
Michael Gasperson (WR) Tall receiver who was practice squad project past two seasons
Zac Collie (WR) Had great touchdown grab vs. Jets and another lost due to penalty
Lee Vickers (TE) Converted defensive end who Eagles took on as project
Jonathan Palmer (T) Too many experienced veterans, even at backup spots
Jasper Harvey © Eagles already have two young, atheltic centers
Jacob Hobbs (G) Small-school product was the lightest O lineman in camp
Pat McCoy (T) Rookie free agent last year, didn't take big enough step in Year 2
Marques Murrell (DE) Great pass-rush ability, but too small to play the run
Mauricio Lopez (DT) Space-eater, but not enough push for what Jim Johnson needs
Ian Scott (DT) Run stuffer whose knee injury hindered his progress
Akeem Jordan (LB) Quick, but undersized for position
Dedrick Roper (LB) Special teams demon, lost time in camp with foot injury
Dustin Fox (CB) Former third-round pick slowed by Achilles injury
Nick Graham (CB) A difficult cut after consistent performance since May
Marcus Paschal (S) Was neck-to-neck with C.J. Gaddis all camp
Erick Harris (S) Seasoned in NFL Europa, couldn't beat out Gaddis for fourth spot
Dirk Johnson (P) A steady force, had some of the best seasons in team history

If that list is correct, Bill Sampy made the team.
Something has to be slightly off or something is going on.

My call is Dirk to the Vikes!

...but....but...Spuds is always right, isn't he?
Everyone on the list seems logical to me. I would still have liked to see Gasperson actually get a shot, but then again...
The internet and access to immediate news surely has made the job of being a media "spin-doctor" a lot harder.

Don't forget, there is the likelihood that as many as 4 of these cuts will be placed on the practice squad.
Also, the Eagles tend to make additional cuts after they scan the waiver wire and pick up other cuts that interest them.

Considering how tightly they keep their information, it's hard to believe it's just a SNAFU.

ProFootballtalk says it was some kind of accident they got posted. article below
POSTED 3:26 p.m. EDT, August 31, 2007
EAGLES ACCIDENTALLY LEAK CUTS?
Multiple readers, and apparently some Philly media, discovered on Friday afternoon that the Philadelphia Eagles inadvertently posted their final roster cuts on the team's official site, apparently via a page that transmits data to wireless devices. The cuts are due to be made by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Several readers have informed us that the players who appeared on the list, which has since been changed to this, were as follows:
RB Nate Ilaoa; FB Jason Davis; FB/LS Jeremy Cain; WR Jeremy Bloom; WR J.J. Outlaw; WR Michael Gasperson; WR Zac Collie; TE Lee Vickers; T Jonathan Palmer; C Jasper Harvey; G Jacob Hobbs; T Pat McCoy; DE Marques Murrell; DT Mauricio Lopez; DT Ian Scott; LB Akeem Jordan; LB Dedrick Roper; CB Dustin Fox; CB Nick Graham; S Marcus Paschal; S Erick Harris; and P Dirk Johnson.
We've separately learned that Bloom, a fifth-round draft pick who spent the 2006 season on IR, has indeed been cut (or at a minimum has been informed that he'll be cut).

Well, at least we know it's fake now.
The final nail in the coffin would be Mark Eckel confirming every last name.

NFL Channel Total Access reported Jeremy Bloom is released.
And yet on PhiladelphiaEagles, the news is still that nothing will happen till 4pm Saturday.
So, not only did PhiladephiaEagles err by wrongly making something public, they also now our messing up by not reporting the news that is public, and by saying that nothing will be public even though something is. A total messup.

I thought Gasperson had a chance, he looked pretty good the other night. But with Brown, Curtis, Baskett and Avant (who is looking more and more like a decent player) there was no room. None of the others suprise me, Bloom was a bust from day one. So I guess the question is who is gonna return kicks this year?
