Even if you consider that some of the passes were them coming back after falling behind late, I was wondering how the first 8 plays, SEVEN were passes.

(BTW, BSPN pulled up a stat saying that Reid has the highest pass to run ratio of any NFL coach either in history or since 2000.....but yeah, that's really bad)

Anyway, even if you're trying to get McNabb in a rhythm, you're not doing your injured QB any favors by having him drop back so many times. Or throwing to Greg Lewis. Or not running with HUNT!

I said before that Reid saying "We're only a hair off" means that he's lost his mind. I think he really has no answers, and he usually keeps things close to his vest and doesn't let anyone know anything.

He's done, boys. I don't see him recovering this year, either. And this town will implode if they lose to Detroit.

Anyone remember when Stallworth used to get open deep by about 8 yards? Those were the days...

Shame on all of us for thinking that Curtis was anything more than this generation's James Thrash.

Thrash could beat bump n run coverage.

Jus sayin'.

I bitched and moaned about losing Stallworth since day one and felt Curtis was better than nothing, but not Stallworth.

Here we stand with the Eagles spending several times more on Curtis (the Mormon) and the Pats don't even need Stallworth.

Awesome.

Again the arrogance of the front office believing their systems trump the need for true talent. Take another teams slot receiver who spent his entire career sans 6-7 games in one season going againest LB's and think you can make him their #1 with a snap of a finger. You see how effective he is againest real corners. Where is his deceptive speed they were talking about?

More like fraudelent speed. He stinks.

I really feel bad for McNabb... he busted his hump to comeback fast from his knee injury and what does he get?... Sub par receivers and all the pressure of Reid's 70/30 pass run ratio.

I thought the line played better last night compared to last week but they can only protect for so long. McNabb has to fit the ball into such tight spaces because the WRs can't separate. He's forced to wait until they can get a little bit open. His mobility is clearly diminished from the injury (because he's definitely NOT 100%) so the guy is just a sitting duck back there.

He won't last the season at this rate.

He's forced to wait until they can get a little bit open.

To be fair, McNabb doesn't throw the ball normally until they're a little bit open. Injury aside, he's always had problems with waiting until guys were wide open before throwing the ball.

But yeah, he's not going to make it through all 16, and that's not even considering the coaching staff giving him NO help.

Those receivers were wearing man-suits last night. I've never seen anything like it.

Normally when they show the WR isolations to show "nobody was open", I look and say "Uh...there was some room there".

Last night I just kept marveling at how covered they were. The D backs were running the routes better than the WRs.

McNabb wasn't sharp last night, but the WRs were AWFUL and Reid is a fat prick.

The stink of Andy Reid playcalling was all over that game and if he tries to claim Marty is still calling the plays, Mormon Jesus will send his lying ass to hell.

Also as brutal as the wide receivers were last night and the errant throws from Mcnabb what about the play calling?

If you see your WR's cant beat press coverage dont you do some screen passes? Put men in motion so they can get some seperation?

No they throw a 2 yd quick screen to Choppahs on 3rd and 9!!

Or better yet...stop calling passes. Westbrook was breaking every 3rd run or so for a really nice gain.

Why were they passing every down with the BS play action no one falls for?

Another thing you touched on Hulk - where were the screens? They called maybe TWO all game (when you know that's his bread-and-butter) and it would've slowed the rush.

Unfortunately, the Redskins ran a screen on the next drive and got like 40 yards from it.

Well Jules and I already exhausted the calling run plays rant last night. My point is if you are gonna be obsessed with throwing dont you call pass plays that make sense?

Oh WOW - Spuds just said that McNabb's problem is psychological, in that the clock in his head is gone, and he might be bothered by Kolb being drafted.

Yup. Spuds is BURYING McNabb.

Kolb starts next year (if nor sooner)...guaranteed.

According to Spuds:

- Receivers were open.

- Play calling was fine.

- McNabb can't escape the pocket.

- McNabb's internal clock is off.

- McNabb needs to make those big throws.

- McNabb throws the ball too hard...drops were WRs fault.

- McNabb isn't leading WRs.

- McNabb's pocket presence is off.

Spuds is performing his most recent character assassination commissioned by the front office.

This is CRIMINAL. True, but still criminal.

- "I'm not seeing as QB with awareness out there"

Caller asks: "Will we see Kolb week 5 or 10" and Spuds answers:

"I would assume so...if things continue to go as they are, yeah we will"

WOW. F.O. turned the dogs loose on their boy.

Same, FD - to even suggest that Kolb would play this year is absolutely ripping their "boy".

Instead of maybe adjusting the gameplans to help bring McNabb back, he's throwing 50 passes. Nimrods.

absolute disgrace....Insane(Mcnabb character assassination)! They should be ashamed of themselves. Fuck Spuds....Kevin Kolb is not going to make the receivers get open....

My question is this....before the season started, it was widely reported that the patriots receivers were available....Stallworth has 3 receptions for just 38 yards....Any chance, ANY CHANCE the eagles are picking up the phone?

The Pats don't have a compelling reason to deal him (what if Moss gets injured, for instance?) and the Eagles need to fix the play calling more than the WRs, IMO.

Spuds: "After watching 5 in the pre-season I never would have imagined he'd be this off"

Spuds: "There's the more than the knee going on here. He should be able to drop back and pass"

Spuds (responding to caller saying they need to protect McNabb with the running game: "If he's not ready to play, he shouldn't be out there"

Um, how can anyone say that after watching TWO QUARTERS?!

This is juts malicious. Malicious, wrong, and everything else. And if they were looking to deal McNabb, this is the wrong way to do it.
