In terms of what I would do to fix everything (based on what we're seeing right now): Blow it up.

Trade: McNabb, Tra

Cut: Kearse, Howard, Mahe. Potentially keep Kearse depending on how his health progresses and whether or not that go with a 3-4, which could extend his career somewhat.

Beg to retire with dignity: Dawk

Dump the entire coaching staff, other than Morningwood and Harbaugh. Bring in the 3-4. Let the Kolb era begin.

Hopefully they keep losing and have a shot at an impact player and we'll see how free agency goes (who's available).

Hire: Mike Singletary to be the head coach, one of younglings to be the O-coordinator, and let Marty run the offense.

Must gets: They must get a punt/kick returner. They must identify a potentially impactful safety. They have to find an anchor for the middle of their new D.

Gaither and Spikes play the middle with Gocong and Kearse/Juqua/Cole all working things out for the other spot or DE.

Of course none of this will happen, but hey...why not.

Well I didn't read everyone's comments in this thread so if what I say is just repeating others thoughts then perhaps we're on to something...

First things first, is/does Reid have anything to do with the play calling anymore?!? because it sure looked like the same old Eagles... IF so then someone has to cut the wires on his headset so he is no longer involved...

It is pretty sad that the Offense is almost exactly the same as last year(stalworth and curtis are about the same in my mind) BUT for some reason the team can't put a decent game together?!? Garcia is a firey guy and helped keep/get the team up... So IMO the answer is to pull #5 aside and tell him he is on a VERY short leash, if he struggles he will be pulled and AJ will go in(although I'd like to see Kolb I don't think he could be close to ready yet) because at least with AJ you should get a little fireand they don't trust him as much so they will run the ball more...

Personally I don't think the Defense is as bad as some are think, (although lsoing half to 3/4 of the secondary is going to hurt) the two things I noticed were that for some reason Gaither was coming out on 2nd and 3rd down to put in some exotic D with 5 DB's and two LB's... umm I'm not the brightest guy in the world but couldn't Trot have done that?!? and it seemed that almost EVERYTIME that Omar came out of the game the Skins made a play so obviously he needs to be in there more...

Basicly the Eagles NEED to have a 60/40 run pass ratio... just keep running period, I think the best thing that happened Monday night was that Tra got hurt, let Justice prevail FINALLY... (pun intended) and just let the linemen start beating on the D-line...

The one person I'd cut/bench for the season IMO is LJ he seems to be playing to not get hurt NOT playing to get a big time contract...

I Jules is right. It's time to blow it up and start fresh.

Damn it hurts to type that.

"The personnel staff’s decision to make Greg Lewis field punts is directly responsible for one of the two losses, and I believe that the personnel department falls under Reid. However, he does put the team in a good position to succeed nearly every week, and I find it hard to simply discredit that."

I don't disagree - Reid is a very good coach. But I think he could be an all-timer, a HOF-type coach ... except he really, truly, can't help himself from wanting to leave his mark everywhere in the organization. His refusal to give up player personnel duties is just him being stubborn, which in turn is (IMO) another sign of an ego run amok.

Anyone who works in big companies (as I've done for most of my career) has seen the true egotist at work.

* He's usually good at what he does, and he usually knows it, but he's always angling for more responsibility, because he truly believes that IN HIS SPARE TIME he could do job XXX better than person YYY is doing it now.
* He wants to be personally involved with everything his team or area works on or does, even when it's someone else's job.
* He insists on always having final decision-making authority ... even decisions made by people he hired need his say-so.
* He's a big believer in the "80/20 rule". He'll pronounce a system or a person "good enough" if it meets 80% of his needs and say, "We'll figure out the rest down the road."
* When projects he's not leading fail, he believes it's because he wasn't leading them.
* When projects he is leading fail, he believes it's because of a lack of execution, never because of poor planning. As a result, projects of his that do fail always do so for the same reasons.

Any of this sounding familiar yet?

Blame who you want on or off the field (and there's plenty to go around) but Cap'n Andy's greasy fingerprints are all over this 0-2 start, and anyone who's been following this team the past 9 years knows it.

i believe the 80/20 rule implies that 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people.

Or, like in business, 80% of the revenue comes from 20% of the customer base.

The 80/20 rule is normally used in any situation where you're basing your reference of the 80/20 rule on 80% guess and 20% hazy fact.

Eighty bucks for a ticket, ... twenty bucks to park.

Oh, … I’d fix the problem by lowering beer prices and introducing dollar dog days at the Linc.

How would you fit it?

Move to Boston and become a Patriots fan.

Buy the Patriots team and move the team to Philadelphia. Buy the Eagles team and move it to Boston.

Reid was asked the other day why he didn't put his guys in motion, and he responded that he thought his game plan would be enough to get them open.

OK, that's it. He really needs to go now.

I wouldn't fix it at all... After all, isn't that why we're here?! Fuck it, throw caution to the Birds and let's have another annoying heartbreaking season.. What the hell else? Fix what? Losing makes you human. I love this team because no matter what they do, they will not fail to disappoint you somehow, some way, some play. It's real and I love it.

It only becomes dissapointing if you believed. If you don't expect anything from em, they won't let you down.
