I know he is probably pretty far down on the list of problems this team is facing, but I feel a compulsive need to point out the obvious fact that Greg Lewis sucks.

He isn't particularly fast, is not physical, is not tall, is not a special teams Ace. Can anyone give me one good reason why he should be on any NFL roster?

What bothers me the most about "Duckfoot" or "Choppas" is that he is exemplfies the front office's arrogance when it comes to talent acquisition. They have seem what a pro-bowl calliber WR can do for a team and for a QB, yet they continue to believe that they can throw anyone out their at the WR position and win. Why? Because Andy's "system" will prevail.

Same thing goes for Reno. They believe they can turn a mormon decon or an olympic skier into Devon Hester simply because their system is so good.

I am sick of seeing guys who could barely make an NCAA team taking up roster spots becuase andy think he can turn water into wine.

He's a great gunner, according to Andy.

Which is kinda ironic, since when he's out there he ends up shooting the Eagles in the foot.

Here's why they'll keep him

He's so shitty he will be easy on the cap numbers

He won't challenge management like TO would

He fits the typical eagle receiver mold: nothing flashy and no testicles either

Well, he definitely belongs on "special" teams.

I don't usually keep it on, but this team is really testing me.

I've got no beef with Lewis.

He's a #5 WR and a pretty good one. he's also a good special teams coverage guy.

My beef is more with the Reno's of the world.

You can't fault the players for being asked to do unreasonable things that are obviously beyond their ability.

I don't hate Greg Lewis for being asked to return punts or be anything other than a #5 receiver.

I don't hate Reno Mahe for for being asked to play on an NFL roster.

I hate Andy Reid and Tom Heckert for being so overconfident that they feel the genius of their system can overcompensate for these players' obvious lack of skill.

Sorry I gotta disagree with the whole Lewis is a good/great gunner, he might be OK but that's it, hell he screwed the Eagles again Monday night with screwed up punt team play, only this time he couldn't jump on the ball that got muffed which almost would've gotten him back into the doghouse, cause he screwed up so bad he was not only kicked out of the house but also outta the doghouse...

it's all a moot point, he sucks, I'd much rather see Hank or Jason get the time on the field it's not like the Eagles really use all the WR's they have just stick with the top 4 and use TE's and RB's for that extra man...
