Slapshot, the scary thing is, if you take out the phrase "right protection (schemes) and giving them some help", you wouldn't be able to tell what loss this followed.
He's broken record and the Phils winning will save his bloated hide for at 3 more weeks.

No, but if you know a guy is getting blown away on every play, and if he does have the ability to audible at the line, why not call plays to that spot, so Umenyura doesn't think pass on every down?
I'm not saying McNabb should share the blame equally - 95% goes on FB's shoulders for not adjusting. But he's gotta know enough to at least try to change things up enough so that he's not getting killed out there. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but no one gave him any help, except for Herremans. And even then, that was only if Umenyura went inside.
I just think that it's the job of the QB and Offensive line to pick up most blitzes and adjust protection. It's not the QBs job to make sure his LT has help in a one on one matchup...that's on the offensive coordinator.

For the second time this season, the Phillies have outscored the Eagles when they play the same day.
Momma McNabb thought the Phillies making the playoffs was "bittersweet".

I agree, FD, really.
But they hung McNabb out to dry in this game. Either by malice or just plain stupidity, he was getting hammered. And yet, nothing will happen, because the one guy who needs to be disciplined more than any of them (Reid) won't be.
Side note - did anyone catch the brief glimpse of the discussion Reid had with McNabb on the sidelines in the 2nd half? Not sure what that was about, and it's probably looking for something that's not there, but I thought Reid was somehow getting on McNabb for not making things work. All McNabb did was nod like he was saying "OK, OK", the same way you'd nod to someone if they were pissing you off and you couldn't do anything about it.
