I guess I'll start it off.
What a lucky break on a broken tackle by Curtis!

I like em too.
Need to get Westy more involved, despite the success so far passing.
Worst thing that could happen - Reid havin early success passing....watch him ignore the run.

That was THE definition of OWNING someone-
Westbrook
OWNS
Vilma
Forever.
Good GOD.
That was likely the only thing I'll remember from this game yrs from now.

The Eagles need more points. They are winning this ballgame, but even a fluke Jets TD ruins the afternoon.

That's a lousy rule. If you toch the ball on the kick, you shouldn't be allowed to bump back into the end zone and down it.

The Eagles are good enough to just miss out on a really good draft pick, but are just bad enough to miss the playoffs

The Eagles suck...had to be said.
Without Westbrook, this team would be 0-16.

Also, I'm watching the Boys game right now and they are playing much tougher than thought they would against the Pats.
Couple other notes:
- Rodney Harrison getting punked out play, after play, after play by Marion Barber. Different guys without his "meds", I guess.
- Wade Phillips has the look of someone who is just along for the ride. He has a completely dumbfounded look on his face every time something bad happens. He has a goofy, down syndrome-like smile every time something good happens. There is no evidence he's actually doing anything. These aren't his players.
It's weird.

Not as if the 'Boys have never seen this before.
I expected the Boys to win, and if they didn't shoot themselves in the foot with so many penalties, I think they would've won or at least forced OT. Even still, Wade calling for a FG at 4th and goal, thinking that his D could stop the Pats 2 more times, was Reid-level thinking.
Couple of other things:
Watching Brady actually have help for one more run and watching the "Pyrite Standard" annoys me. Especially watching Stallworth stiffarm someone for the TD.
The Birds have 3 more Ls coming up from these two teams, with Stallworth leading the charge for one.
Even in losing, there's not a better team in the NFC.
Can we just fast-forward to the draft?

Caught the game at an Eagles bar in San Diego today. Fucking awesome, very lively loud crowd. Beer was cheap enough but it was just a bar no food and 95% of the customers had to stand for game. At least they gave us a little something to get excited about. But face it the Jets stink, we are not that good, not looking forward to playing Dallas in 3 weeks! BTW went to a bar called Plum Crazy in La Jolla, CA! Go Birds!

FD, you might have a point about Phillips being 'along for the ride' since Jason Garrett was JJ's first coaching hire. I can see why you'd see it that way since he tends to let his assistants do all the work on game day (unlike Belichek, who appeared to coach his ass off today).
Wade was brought in to tweak & further develop the 3-4 defense but he certainly comes off 'country-hick' like in his demeanor and speech, making him appear a bit 'slow'.
He might very well be just another front man for JJ, but I think he's a bit more involved (as much as possible in a JJ regime) than you might think. Whether it's him or his assistants doesn't matter to me, they're doing a great job with this bunch.
Either way, it's safe to say that a lot of us down here are hoping Jason Garrett continues to develop for a few years and then inherits the position.

Most of you know I'm the biggest kool-Aide drinker the Birds have... but I have to say there were a few times today that I almost wanted Reid to pull McNabb... I still think he is a very good QB but I honestly don't think he threw a pass over 15 yards all day(yards after the catch don't count) To me he looked scared a good bit, he made a couple good throws but all in all I thought he had an average game at best...
Other than the nice game Route 36 had the only plus was Curtis... I had two thoughts during the game, 1) why are the announcers pushing Brown's 2-3 catches as huge?!? (sad to OK at best for him today)
and (after watching the Pats-Boys) 2) I REALLY, REALLY wish the Birds at least tried to have signed Wes Welker(sp)
