The game DOESN'T start with a PA? Two straight runs even!

Cool. I'm stuck at "work" only being able to listen to the game, and I'm the only one on the board yet. Darn shame, and yet so fitting.

Typical Eagles with the run working well and then they completely forget about it. Rocca let Hester get into his head too much and pooched the punt out of bounds for a whopping 20 yard punt. So much for Spuds talking about how well Rocca's punts were going in practice.

...and Merill Reese goes nuts for Mahe as the Eagles get a touchback on the punt. WTF is up with that?

...and then it is determined that Mahe effed up and the Eagles get the ball at the 5? Never heard that the fair catcher can't block before.

Eagles are actually moving the ball on an extended drive early in the game. Westbrook is effing Phenominal! McNabb seems to be on track early in a game for a change. There was even a couple of Avant sightings and two Brown sightings. Buckhalter got a nice run in there too.

McNabb has completed passes to 4 different receivers so far (not counting the one to Westbrook which was considered a run and the one to Schoebel called back on a penalty) Too bad Brown dropped the critical pass at the end, but Akers is Money and the Eagles lead 3-0.

According to Reese, Gocong has had 2 nice plays in a row. Of course one was called back in favor of a holding penalty on the Bears and the other is a fumble recovery which is going to possibly be overturned. Dude just can't catch a break

I'd get a Gocong jersey except I fully expect that it would cost too much, be the wrong number, and get lost in shipping all while listening to Spuds go on about what a great deal I got.

And the commercial stops just in time for me to hear how the Eagles petered out in the red zone yet again. I'm not sure just what is wrong, but I'm sure Andy will mention how that needs to be fixed and "ahem" how he needs to do a "ahem" better job in getting the players into position there.

Considine just let Muhammed put the Bears in great position to score and possibly go ahead after the Eagles have dominated the "all important" time of possession in the first half.

I guess the funny thing about the radio feed is that you can hear the referee's microphones are still on. They are just shooting the sh*t and you can hear every word. Funny stuff indeed.

McNabb showing some "mobility" and the Eagles first timeout is taken with less than 2 minutes in the half? It's almost like being in the Twilight Zone or Candid Camera...or something.

Add to the weirdness: a Westbrook run with time running out in the first half? WTF is going on around here?

OK, the Eagles are trying to score after getting the ball with less than 2 minutes in the half. A receiver (Baskett, UNM alum baby!) actually made a crucial catch for long yardage. McNabb actually threw a ball away versus taking a huge sack as well? All that and it just led up to another Akers FG, but that definitely shows me some progress has been made in several areas?

Of course I've bought into the robes now, so I have to scream that 9 points is a pathetic total given how much has gone the Eagles way in the first half.

Cole shows up big when they needed him but Peterson got called for the defensive holding which bailed out the Bears. Meh...

This would be a great time for a pick 6 from one of the Eagles corners. (how about it Lito?)

Griese is looking like a pro-bowler in this game. Eff this crap! It's time for a defensive stand.

The FG-fest continues. It's time for the Eagles to take that next step and put this Bears team away.

In somewhat related news: the Vikings defense is looking OK against the Cowboys, but the more I see of them, the more I think that the Eagles should be able to beat them. (with the emphasis on SHOULD)

The Eagles D appears to be folding at the most inopportune time (again). Not sure exactly how Griese is looking so good in this game, but Reese just keeps calling play after play where the Eagles D either misses someone or fails to recognize a play. Again this is based on radio only analysis, but with the Eagles offense unable to convert in the Red Zone, it is indeed troubling.

And the Bears tie it up. Thankfully (again) the Eagles are playing an opponent that is having as many problems on both sides of the ball as themselves. That won't continue to hold up all season however, so they better figure out how to fix what ails them ASAP.

Sweet. The game is tied so it's definitely "pass only" time, with McNabb's internal clock being set to "off" for the duration of the game. 2 sacks in 3 plays signals bad times ahead.
