Remember McNabb's inconsistency last year when he was healthy?
He was an MVP candidate when he went down

He was an MVP candidate when he went down
That's part true and part not as true.
He was the best player in football after the first few weeks, but started really struggling after that other than the Skins game.

Check out his game log, he had a bad game or two after the hot start, but it was hardly "inconsistent play"

KB, don't do it.
I remember last season very clearly and while McNabb wasn't the total problem, he wasn't playing well when he was hurt.
He was below average at New Orleans. He was awful in Tampa. He was awful against Jacksonville. He was good against the Skins. He was playing very poorly against he titans when he got hurt.
The real problem last year was the defense and play calling, but McNabb was not playing well at all over the course of his final 5 games other than 1/2 of the Saints game and the Skins game.
He was killing them on his own, but he wasn't playing at anything near an MVP pace like he was when he opened the season averaging 325 yards per game with 11 TDs and 1 INT through the first 5 weeks.

Guys, you are fogetting that you dont have Garcia this year behind McNabb. He might be done after this game to injury. Im guessing leaving that cow toungue out for too long.
The boys' defensive line is questionalble? Are you kidding me? Do you know what they are giving up a game in rush defense? There is not a team in the NFC doing better. Step away from the crack pipe. Let's see .... defensive line includes ware, ratliff (with tank coming soon) spears/canty/spencer. I am not sure what is suspect on that line.
All of your depth is providing a whirlwind of success. .....and those impact players, holy shit, I could only wish we had them. This sunday's game is going to get out of hand. I just don't see the eagles having a chance.

OK, not the thin secondary. Henry will be coming back, this puts Newman back to the slot. Hamlin is doing fine at safety to let Roy help with the run (as he should be used). Throw in Adoyele and Ellis for short stuff and blitzing and I am content with the secondary. The secondary looks even better when we put pressure on the QB which we will do. The boys' will get at least 4 sacks Sunday with a lot of pressure.

To get back to the point of the thread (sort of), here is something from a Patriots message board. Take note of the line used by Pony Express to describe Skins fans.

Redskins Fanbase

Just want to say that even in seeing Skins fans on this board the past week, I think they have the 2nd best fan base in the league. They love that team, and on their message boards it doesn't look like many people are crying about the score. The sentiment I see is "wish we could do that" and "they should have stopped the Pats."
Good luck Redskins. No ill feelings here.

Totally agree. They are loyal passionate and knowledgeable. Hopefully some day our fan base will rival theirs. It will probably take another generation of ups and downs. Redskin fans are right up there with the Steeler and Bills fans. I lived there briefly and the whole region lives and dies with the team. Yesterday's loss must have been very painful. Gibbs is a saint down there and they don;t take kindly to him being humiliated. The truth is, I blame him. He's lost his fastball and shouldn't be coaching anymore. The real Joe Gibbs of old would never have allowed his team to perform like that.

I was on Extremeskins last night and read several posts regarding "running up the score" and was surprised to see how many level-headed fans didn't think the Patriots did anything wrong.
There were several "violent/hating/vulgar" comments as well, but the level-headed members seemed to continuously tone them down. I congratulate you as well.
Skins fans do appear to be more knowledgeable and intellegent than most other fan sites I visited...and I visit quite a few!
Good luck the rest of the year!

totally 100% agree. In the NFL, Skins fans are the best, most knowledgable and reasonable fans I've ever come across.

Good to see not everyone here judges an entire fanbase based on the bad apples that exist pretty much everywhere. Congrats on the season so far and good luck the rest of the year.

What? I'm not even sure what you're trying to say.

FYI, Ware is a linebacker. The defense is solid, but the line is just average, IMO. They are a good defense, though. never said they weren't.
All of your depth is providing a whirlwind of success. .....and those impact players, holy shit, I could only wish we had them. This sunday's game is going to get out of hand. I just don't see the eagles having a chance.
Again, you're post doesn't make any sense. Take a breath, slow down, and think it through before you type.
I might not even disagree with what you're saying here, but I honestly don't have a clue what that is.

Come on the Boys are a pretty dam good Offensive team but their D is suspect, personally I think the Eagles will get to Romo and make the game a lot closer than most think, I also think the Eagles O will be able to move the ball well against the Boys keeping it close and pull off the upset...
by the way if anyone is looking I've got plenty more Kool-Aide...

FD,
The boys' move thier LB's in on the line quite often. They mix it up very well. You will see Ware on the line many times along with any other LB. They move these players around quite a bit to create mismatches. If you watched any of thier games you might have a clue. It appears to me you are talking shit that you really don't know about.

Trust me, I watch their games. Kearse drops into coverage quite a bit for the Eagles...that doesn't make him a LB any more than Ware playing on the line sometimes (mostly standing up) makes him a defensive end.
Don't make me give you you're annual level beatdown, SNB. This is going to be "Bledsoe is better than McNabb" all over again...I feel it.

Also, any thoughts on when Ware will start producing to the level is his draft class of 2005 mate Trent Cole?
I'm sure Ware will be out there during the pre-game to pick his brain.

Depends.
The Eagles draft picks are typically good, not great, picks. Like their team the picks are "solid".
What kind of job have the Cowboys done? Not bad, not great.
I was simply rubbing it in a bit that Trent Cole has 9 sacks to Ware's 5.5 and Cole and only has 1.5 fewer sacks over the last 3 years. Not bad for a guy who was taken 100 picks or so after Ware.
