I'm not saying he is never told to write a certain angle (good or bad), but I really feel like he's sort of a fan watching from inside a bubble and his recent turn to the negative is a reflection of the air he's breathing in those offices.

I wonder how much of it is trying to respect a disciplinarian who's lost control of his own house.

So you're saying Reid would be a bad choice for an Under Armor commercial?

Just picture it. Reid, fat rolls clad in black spandex, calmly explaining to the TV audience that while he may have occasional failures he is still making good progress. We must protect this house. Time's yours.

who's the leader again?

quoting westbrook discussing his kneel-down at the end of the game:

“I looked back and I saw all 6-7 or 6-8 of him running toward me saying, ‘Get down.’ So I got down ... Runyan, he’s our offensive leader out there. He’s a coach. So he helped me out a little bit there.”

Speaking of which, they made a big deal over Flipper's sideline reporting yesterday, with McNabb saying "Wherever I go, I'll win" and how he's hurt that the FO is trying to distance themselves from him.

Asskiss says he's "95%" back, according to Banner. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

I was driving into Philly this weekend, which was the first time I've driven north of the stadiums in quite some time, and I happened to see McNabb on a couple of AirTran billboards. I thought it was interesting that he was wearing a plain white jersey and a solid black helmet. The picture looked kind of cheap and silly.

Now I'm assuming that the Eagles get paid whenever their jersey/helmet/logo appears in an ad, but I still seem to think this is fairly common. It just seemed odd to me that the marquee player would do an ad while wearing a uniform that looks like it came from the discount rack at K-Mart.

Perhaps there is nothing to this at all, but it did seem more than coincidental that the star player who is feeling the cold shoulder from the team's front office was not wearing the team's uniform in an ad.

Yeah, they have to pay NFL and Eagles. It's like Eli's hilarious "Unstoppable" commercial for Citizen, just plain helmet and jersey

I thought it was hilarious to label Eli as a "professional quarterback"

That one had me laughing yesterday as well. That, and the fact that the commercial kept calling Eli "unstoppable."

I also find it out that McNabb is even doing that stupid ad campaign for a discount carrier. What's he getting, free flights? He should have learned his lesson on that from Rodney Culver.

The campaign is "Fly AirTran and Get the Donovan McNabb Treatment," which is a little better than "Fly AirTran and Get Disrespected by Your Co-Workers, the Media, and Various Members of Your Race."
