Is there anyone out there that thinks the Steelers have a good shot of beating the Pats besides me? For some reason I think that the contrasting styles the two teams play give the Steelers a good shot of pulling the upset here.

I think they can.
Besides the fact that playing on that sloppy field gets them used to what might happen in Foxboro in January, you saw a team on MNF that looked like it was about to crack under the pressure. After almost losing to the Birds and getting whipped in practice, and after having 8 days to prepare, they still were a Boller INT away from losing that game.
The cat from SI says that he thinks the Pats look old and tired, and when you combine the pressure from trying to go 16-0, plus a very ordinary looking defense that can be had by a running game and an accurate QB, you can see how they would be upset.
Side note - what's the line?
Anyway, it's a short week, and you would've thought that they would've fixed whatever was wrong after the Eagles' game, but they didn't. No stretch to think Pitt can't finish the deal.

The line opened at 13 but has since gone down to 10.5
I just think with the way the Steelers get pressure up the middle and off the edges- they have a legitimate shot of knocking Brady senseless. And the Steelers will be able to run the ball. But it will probably take a close to perfect game- which is easier when your formula is run and pass efficiently on offense, and attack relentlessly and stop the run on defense.
But they HAVE to get to Brady.

I think this is the last realistic shot the Pats have to lose. Fins, Jets & Giants don't have a chance. Although it would be great if the Dolphins beat them thus ruining 2 perfect seasons.
I think they beat the Steelers fairly easily though.

If Polamolu plays they have a good shot. Otherwise I don't see any reason for the Patriots to continue on with their perfect season.
Now as far as covering the spread that is something entirely different. I think its 3 weeks in a row they come up short.

Ditto, Dino.
If they don't lose here, they're not losing until the playoffs.

Can I switch my pick? Peter King just picked the Steelers to win the game 27-20.

The zebras won't let the Pats lose. Brady is just too dreamy. The NFL commish wouldn't want to have to explain the consequent female suicides.
PS, He's hitting Giselle? The unfairness of it all!

Polamalu would have to take Moss' head off, then Welker's, then Gaffney's.......
I think they can pummel the Pats D-line, but Brady is money (like Akers used to be).

forget it. The Steelers DB (whom nobody has heard of) has guaranteed a win. Now the Patriots are disrespected again. Blah, blah, blah....

Do the Patriots sit most of their starters the last few games once they lock up home field, or do they go for the undefeated season?

They never sit starters. They've played their starters even when they had home field clinched and nothing to gain from winning the last game in the past.

I hope the Steelers pull off a win. Otherwise I'll probably be forced to root for the Giants to take them out in Week 17...at which point we'll never hear the end about it.
It's hard to really weigh my disgust for either outcome.

I hope they win and finish the season undefeated, then lose in the 1st playoff game to either Cleveland or Deigo, one of the bottom ranked playoff teams... so yes they have the record of a perfect regular season but lose and get humiliated in a 31-14 loss... just because even though they are a hateable still want Miami to knock off the crap with the champaigne. Of course they will still hold it over the Pats that they finished the entire season unbeaten and this will end all the crap about the best team in history, or at least not allow it to be a done deal... I would just love to see Belicheat and Brady's faces and reactions that would be PRICELESS...

Pats are 13-0 with the Jets and Miami in NE and the Vagiants in NJ left on their schedule. I think the Foxboro parking lot attendants could beat the Jets and Miami in the next two games (although Belicheater wants to and probably will beat the Jets 70-0 this week).
So I think it's pretty funny that, with everybody wondering whether the Patriots will or won't try to go undefeated, it'll be the Giants, locked in at the 5 seed, who won't give a flying fuck and will sit everybody in Week 17, and get ready for Tampa the following week.
Followed by the inevitable "put an asterisk next to the Pats record this year" discussion.
Fuck New England.
