I love Dansby, but they'd essentially be cutting Spikes loose to make room for him.

SO?!

I know what you're saying, and I agree 100%, they wouldnt address LB, finally, given other needs, past philosophy and the fact it's not like theyve got a Dhani Jones starting anywhere in the corps for em.

Just sayin'.

I'll never forgive this team for not pursuing Reggie Wayne the other year.

They didn't have a chance to go after Wayne. He signed they day before he would have become a FA

I know...I think the Eagles probably think that they have their 3 starting LBs of the future in Gaither, Gocong, and Bradley. I think they think Spikes can give them one more year to get Bradley ready.

I think they believe Gaither can play middle or weak. Bradley can play middle or strong. Gocong can play strong or weak.

I'm not saying I agree, I just think they'll probably hang onto Spikes for 1 more year and won't spend on a LB. Dansby IMMEDIATELY jumped out at me, too.

To be fair, we should probably congratulate the Eagles. Do you have any idea how hard it was for them to screw that up that year?

They passed on Wayne, Chambers, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith.

Hell...the team that "Builds from the lines out" somehow missed Shaun Rogers AND Kris Jenkins in the second, too.

Most teams had a great draft that year.

72

I see him as an Alvin Harper

He would be mediocre at best w the Eagles (and Culley)

I disagree with EAG about Wayne/Harper comparison, but I'm not 100% convinced he'd be a star on many other teams.

Between Manning and Harrison, he was setup to succeed.

Wayne possesses great separation speed and hands. Plus the stats to back it up. He could be the best WR on that team right now.
At least top 10 in the league. I'd call that "elite". Would be be regarded as well playing with McNabb? Probably not. But then other than T.O. or maybe Moss, who would?

Top 10 (right now):

1. Moss
2. T.O.
3. Chad Johnson
4. Holt
5. Andre Johnson
6. Fitzgerald
7. Braylon Edwards
8. Steve Smith
9. Roy Williams
10. Boldin

Just my opinion off the top of my head.

I think Wayne is in that next group with Whosyourmomma, Plax, etc.

I definitely value WRs differently than you, but it's cool.

My Top Ten

1. T.O.
2. Moss
3. Holt
4. Chad Johnson
5. Roy Williams
6. Wayne
7. Andre Johnson
8. Boldin
9. S Smith
10. Fitzgerald

I would have put Ward in that second category I had listed, too.

The lists are similar, but are you telling me (with that list) that you wouldn't take Steve Smith in front of Wayne for one game? You wouldn't take Andre Johnson ahead of him?

I think if you put either of those guys with manning they might put up 2,000 yards.

Don't get me wrong, I love Steve Smith's heart, quickness, and hands, but he's a midget (sorry Steve). Johnson could be a Hall of Famer if in the right situation no doubt, but Wayne is proven.

They should induct him for leading the league in receptions with David Carr, given we've seen what Carr can do to a star WR (with Smith).
