I heard Gay Aikman say that if the Eagles would have scored 21 points in every game this year they would have been 8-4 going into yesterday’s game.

If your throw out the Lions blow out they are averaging 17 points a game.

Not going to win to many games in the NFL with that offensive juggernaut.

Also liked how Gay Aikman said the Birds WR are scrubs.

Come on, I think you are making way too much out of the Beagles defense. Romo had TO at least twice deep and just made bad passes. There were many other opps that Romo didnt make the accurate passes that he has been. I have never seen Romo play such a bad game. I give the eagles credit for making it tough, but to think the eagles have this great difference makes me laugh. It could have been very different if he was on.

I did love watching Johnson biting his lip the whole game. I have never seen him so nervous.

Far as T.O. being open, he had Lito deep once, but that's going to happen eventually with a receiver as good as T.O. Romo didn't connect, but you have to bank on a QB not being able to make every throw all the time.

As far as the Eagles D goes, they are a good unit. They aren't otherworldly, but they are solid throughout (they just need the upgrade the safety spot and get a little more playmaking from the unit as a whole). I mean, they are a top 10 defense and they've been playing down and against a few good offenses this year (The Pats, Cowboys twice, and Lions when they were clicking, in particular).

Regardless, the Eagles won. It doesn't change the prospects of where their season is going but between the injuries the Boys suffered and the fact that they may have helped establish a blueprint to defend them, it may alter where the Cowboys end up finishing.

As long as yesterday's performance has left you brimming with confidence for the playoffs, I'm happy.

I don't know if pathetic is the right word, but they failed to score a TD for the first time in something like 55 games (whatever they said on the broadcast), at home, with an opportunity to pretty much lock in HFA throughout the playoffs, against a 5-8 team with nothing to play for but pride.

If they can just hold the opposition to 6 points every time, they should be fine.

Perhaps you would prefer "feeble"? Maybe "inept"? How about "humiliating"? Come to think of it, "squalid" has a nice ring to it, although maybe you're more of a "servile" man.

I'm sure hoping your not saying the officiating was not a complete and total joke. Hamlin's hit on Schoebel was clearly a dirty helmet to helmet to shot. How would your thinking be if it was Dawk on Crayton? Or Dawk horse-collaring Homo? Or the countless times the pokes O-line TACKLED the pass-rusher.

The Birds won IN SPITE OF biased officiating. And the fans have a right to pissed at the no calls (especially the Hamlin cheap shot).

I'm actually happy that the Eagles won even though it will give them confidence and they will probably win out now and screw their draft spot but I'm even more happy that Wade will stay the coach in big D for a few years now... Sorry but after seeing him throw multiple bad passes then fumble the ball because his thumb wasn't able to squeeze it tightly he should have been benched they have Brad Johnson on the bench. I think he's still got a pretty good arm and he would have IMO pulled that game out because the Eagles Offense couldn't score...

Everyone better hope Minny doesn't make the playoffs. They have serious weaknesses in the passing game and have questionable pass D, but they present a difficult challenge.

They are the best running team and run D in football. If they get you playing one dimensional offense and rack up their usual 250-300 yards rushing, they have to be a bear to deal with.

The Pack are looking scarier each week, too.

They have a really solid D, quality man corners, great front 7, about 15 WRs who can play, resurgent Favre, and suddenly discovered a run game.

It's a moot point- give the cheaters the trophy

Giants could still not make the playoffs, if Minnesota wins out, the Giants lose out, and all other other contenders finish 9-7. It'd be a mess.

Fred, regarding the Pats...I dunno. They are still the odds on favorites, but they've looked more beatable recently.

Could be the lull all teams go through or it could be the weather working against their offense a little bit.

Maybe they should attempt to lose a couple games to they can go through Indy and put up 50 points under the roof.
