Now that's more like the kind of post game discussion I was expecting, just a little late.
I agree with Silver n Blue. Romo was hurt and off his game and that played right into the Eagles plans. Of course, the Eagles still had to execute.
Silver n Blue: The bad thing for you is the number of injuries in that game. That could really turn out to kill you. As I recall, you may be losing your center. Goodbye Romo comfort blanket.
Pam Oliver made up some stuff about McNabb. It's easy. You just preface your summary with: What I was led to believe by McNabb..... Then you can say whatever you want to say. McNabb is coming back next year.
Kudos to Aikman pointing out what every Eagles fan knows. The receivers aren't open enough. Looking back on the season I think it points out that you can live with ok receivers and tight ends but if the tight end goes down, the receivers aren't going to be able to get it done. Also, I think it maybe shows that AJ Feeley throws into coverage...Making for a close game, but also having the interceptions. And McNabb would rather throw into the dirt or hold onto the ball than risk an interception.
I am not so sure Westbrook's play was the right move. So if you are the defense, and you are up by 2 points, you can let the other team chew up the clock and get the game winning field goal, or let them get a touchdown so that you get the ball back, march down the field and get your own game-winning touch down. But if Eagles get a touchdown there, they are up by more than a touchdown. The other team has to get 2 scores, not one. The only way the other team gets to win without you having the oppurtunity to run out the clock is with a successful onsides kick, AFTER scoring with 0 timeouts. In any case, listening to commentary today, I am in the minority.
Not so surprising to me, that the team in the huddle is able to point out things that the coaching staff doesn't have time to call in. To me, it is not embarassing at all that Runyan (and the team) made the call instead of the head coach. In fact, I think that is pretty great that the team can make a field adjustment without the general.

Except that I think I remember the commentators saying they expected him suspended for multiple games, not one. Given his history, you would want him suspended at least for the rest of the season.

Good for the NFL to finally stand up against a guy who clearly has an intent to injure on his tackles.
I don't wish injury on people, but I hope, just once, for a situation where he intercepts a ball and gets Roy Williams'd to the ground, with or without his ankles being informed.

Thank you Childress. In one fell swoop you have successfully shut up all playoff talk in town as it should be and you are well on your way to the playoffs by RUNNING THE BALL. Congrats!

I was listening to Ray Didinger the other day and was talking about McNabb and his sensitivity towards the fans.
The one thing he said was that the fans have embraced McNabb but he didn't feel McNabb every appreciated the fans back. And of course McNabb feels the fans have treated him like shit over the years.
He went on to compare how Jaws was booed relentlessly for years but he never turned on the fans. Even during the really bad seasons Jaws would be asked about the fans he would say it's there job to boo me if we stink and it’s my job to win football games.
McNabb just comes across like a big whiney fkn pussy. And that act is beyond old.

It would be highly unlikely the Boys would come back if Westbrook walks in, but with over 2 minutes left, it would have been possible. With him taking a knee there, it would completely impossible for them to win, so I wouldn't say walking into the end zone is the wrong move, but doing what he did was definitely the best possible move. By taking that knee, he ended the game.

There are a lot of reasons she would make it up, I guess, but it's pretty clearly McNabb is simply covering his ass.
Christ knows what possessed his stupid ass to say those things in the first place.

Because it's the truth- but you'd think he'd have figured out the whole "say it to the media, it blows up in your face" thing out by now.

That's what I'm saying. Only a retard would say something like that to a sideline reporter and think it wouldn't end up on national tv.

I agree he said those things, but figured MAYBE that she'd help a brutha out and know it was on the D.L.?
I mean, D-Gunn gets scoop that no other reporter does in the lockerroom, Hugh's said thats the case for years, publically, because its understood you can talk to him and there's an understanding he isnt going to make you look bad.
Hugh said it as if it was a good thing.
Perhaps McNabb felt the same way?
Either way- FB said it best: Nothing new to see here.

Probably - she said there was worse stuff that definitely would've gotten him surrounded by (even more) controversy. I wonder if she's going to reveal that stuff now.
Maybe that's part of the reason why Reid was so testy yesterday?

The fact that there's worse stuff (seemingly) out there and she covered for him seems to imply that they had a good working relationship.
Even beyond that, the last thing you want to do to a woman who's (allegedly) telling the truth is to call her a liar. THAT'S not smart.

I'm glad he denied the whole thing, it's obvious that he is honest and very well respected throughout the league and country, and she is nothing but a lying little scorned bitch...
That said McNabb's bizzarro woorld view may justget the local reporters and the rest to start opening up about the rest of the flack, that has supposedly been fairly well known by local reporters but they have been reluctant or afraid to report... Not sure what secrets are beig kept but it's obvious McNabb is the problem with the team and lockeroom I just wish there was one reporter around here that had the balls to actually report what Reid is keeping buried until he trades #5...
EVERYONE knows #5 is out of Philly now, this is THE senario Banner was talking about in which McNabb wouldn't be back, he's Welborning his way out of Philly... All the guys on Around the Horn agree he's outta Philly and Mariotti not only says he's outta Philly but he stills wants him in Chitown, and his thinking was that a 1st rounder would get it done, kind like the Schaub deal...

When Pam Oliver came out and denied she fabricated anything as she did, it's clear McNabb lied to cover his ass.
That said, I wonder if the Supah Family will recognize this as Black on Black crime?
An African American women doing her best to represent both her race and gender (in a difficult world for her to gain credibility) gets thrown under the bus because a black athlete wanted to make himself look better after he suffered through a bout of diarrhea from the mouth?
Sounds like the definition Supah Sam gave us and Supah 5 agreed with.
Sigh.
