What's the point of risking an ACL and missing time or being less than 100% next year? His knee is already somewhat gimpy.

On Abiamiri, on Bradley, on Hunt.....

Time to get the young guys out there and get them some reps in a real game to see what they got. I would love to see Kolb too but I doubt they would do it. At least this point there is no need to win just lose and get a better pick. Plus Payton owns the Fatman.

Sorry, SZR, thought you were talking about why 5 was playing for a sec.

If I had to blow it all up, 36 would be the only player standing. And he's got to play, because Hunt's a scrub and Buck's still seeing stars. You want your starting backfield of Tapeh and Mahe, even if it's a meaningless game?

Sorry - I just threw up in my mouth a little at that sight.

Hunt will be another 1st-day draft pick who's cut before his third year but I'd still rather see him play a full meaningless game than risk damage to the franchise player, who is already dinged up as is.

I'd like to see Hunt play this week, but #36 has to play cause I'm in a championship in one of my FF leagues... Luckily he didn't hurt me (I picked up Stecker and he carried me to a win over AE)

Back to the game, Hulk you'll get part of your wish, Spikes is out with a shoulder injury so Bradley should play this week... a sign of the LB corp to come fingers crossed..

The Saints still have a slim shot at the playoffs so they will come out swinging and as stated Peyton has owned Reid in the past, this is the changing of that, because with nothing at all to play for but pride Reid and the Birds will win the last two games and screw their draft slot...

Eagles 31

Saints 17

Eagles letdown after big Dallas win + getting eliminated from playoffs. Saints roll 31-13.

I think 36 will be inactive. Why run the risk of him actually improving his stats and and further promoting the idea that he is outperforming his contract?

Eagles - 17

Hunt's a scrub

Do you honestly believe this, or do you just believe this is what the FB/FO believes?

I think it's pretty hard to evaluate a guy who's only gotten in the game for 4-5 snaps all season.

Along this line of reasoning, Kolb would be the biggest scrub.

Here's why Hunt won't play but Westbrook will. Protecting 5's trade value.

If they are serious about dealing 5 (and I think we pretty much agree that's a fait d'accompli) then the last thing they would want to risk is 5 getting hurt. We all saw how well Bluntholder picked up the blitz in the Pats game. Do you think they want to risk an inexperienced Hunt missing a blitz pick-up and having 5 get rocked, maybe blowing out the other knee? It's twisted logic, but it fits this FO.

And just so they get a lower draft pick that they'll just waste anyway;

"Gold" Standard - 20
Gold Helmets - 17

C'mon, McKnobb playing well to increase the likelihood of him being traded, or even funnier, increase his trade value? Puh-lease! He'll blow, even more than usual, this week and next, and they won't be able to trade him for a bag of donuts.

And there isn't enough koolaid in the world to make me think they'll score more than 17 points.

I think Akeem Jordan will actually make the start on the outside, and Gaither will stay in the middle, leaving Bradley relegated to MAYBE ONLY Nickel packages.

Im actually ( I think FD and I disucssed this guy before) eager to see what Jordan's got.

True. But he hasn't done well for those snaps. And that's as much a reflection on the front office as it is on him.

Never question the Omniscient Cap'n Andy. After all, just look at the stellar careers his WRs have had after leaving the "Nest".

And Quinten Caver may still pan out.

I believe the Eagles when they say they will play to win and put the best players on the field. I think they would like to show the world that they are a good football team that just missed the playoffs by a few plays.

But I don't think they are good enough to beat the Saints and if things start going poorly I see them giving up enough to make a difference.

Even though Lito and Dawkins are back and the Saints run offense is not what it was last year, I think Drew Breese will find plenty of pass completions. Similarly, McNabb and the Eagles won't.

Saints 28, Eagles 17

sorry ox but the way the Defense has played of late there is no way the Saints will be able to score like that, Staecker is an OK back but with Bush being slowed he may be a nonfactor which would pretty much turn their Offense one dimensional and JJ seems to found his playbook from a few years ago... and as far as my prediction I think they will have a defensive score and the defense will set them up with good field position all day, since they have nothing to play for they will look unbeatable.
