So the Saints go for it on the previous 4th down, get it, and then have to kick a FG anyway after chewing up more clock. Payton's play calling in the red zone has been fairly stupid the last 2 trips.

Two out of the past three years Philly has finished dead last in the NFC East.

But I am glad Andy has them playing great now, should build momentum and get a worse draft position.

It's not like the Eagles have any really glaring needs in the draft right now though NEAG.

Plus this Saints secondary is HORRIBLE. Not so sure it is Reid having the Eagles playing so well as it was Dallas (and now NO) playing like shit.

This is the level of play the Eagles should have been at several weeks ago. Not a horrible season I guess, but it certainly hasn't been good by any stretch of the imagination.

They finished dead last in their division. I'd say that was pretty fucking terrible.

Stewart Bradley! Nice cap to a good game from him, and a Sheldon hit caused it.

Not as terrible of a season as the 3-13 fiasco of Ray Bob's last season. Not as horrible as the end of the Vermiel years. Not nearly as bad as the Kotite years. There has been a LOT worse seasons.

They aren't even assured last place in their division yet.

The Eagles have not had a what could be considered a good season by any means though.

Some positives from the season so far:

McNabb has shown that he is recovering from his knee surgery. Whether you want him back here next season or not, that is either a good sign for his play as an Eagles or good for his trade value.

Westbrook has been phenomenal.

The LB corps has started to mature and may actually be good next season. They still have a ways to go, but they all have size AND speed.

Curtis has shown he could be an exceptional #2 or #3 receiver. Added to the fact that Reggie Brown has proven that he is not yet a #1 (again), there will be more pressure to bring in another good receiver...again.

Mikell looks like he can play, and should be the full time starter next season.

The "cream of the crop" of duds rose to the top. Surely even the FO can't miss the fact that Akers, Rocca, Segrest, Kearse and Howard stole their paychecks, and sadly Dawkins is more than likely done. Addition by subtraction.

There was only one blow out loss this season, which is good and bad.

Maybe they can have "Everyone gets a trophy day" like in tee ball.

As an Eagle's fan, I have been through too many of them. I've even deluded myself into ways to rank the seasons, and this one is definitely not the worst.

This season did have some positives, which makes it better than many I've suffered through. If I only focus on the negatives, I will make myself so bitter that the robes will never come off.
