The paparazzi rules!

If we didn't have paparazzi, how would we ever get to see Britney's and Paris' nipple/clam slips at the grocery checkout?

They are a public service and I for one thank the stars that we have them.

I've been clean and sober on cell phones for some time.

Until they make mobile fax machines.

Re: PD - you don't believe in the "Diana was killed by MI-5/the CIA" conspiracy, f-d? For shame.

Now since we know that won't happen- how about advertised/publicized DUI Checkpoints at 50% of the games each season?

Nobody will know which games will have em, but all will have to be prepared to possible be goin through one upon leavin the stadium on ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.

Nightmare. Think about the amount of time it takes to get out of that parking lot now. Putting a checkpoint anywhere between that stadium and one of the major highways would add about another 1.5 to 2 hours onto that (if not more). Christ...half the people would sober up before they even got to the checkpoint.

Oh well.

How much time is killed, when there's a pile up of crash with fatalities on 95S?

Push.

F it man- just the THREAT of them would considerably cut down on the amount of those who enjoy more than a few beers pre game.

FACT.

And before anyone thinks me pious or high and mighty- anyone here who's tailgated with me ever, knows i enjoy my adult beverages as much (or more) than the next clown.

But im not lookin to die, or worse, be responsible for the death of someone's family like that loser in Miami and his "1 beer at the game".

I should also mention that listening to that Dolphins tailgate story was tough. It sucks, it makes you think, and it makes you wonder. if it happened to me, I'd probably be mad at a whole bunch of people.

Still, when you get right down to it, shit happens. You can't shut down all amusement parks in the world because one person dies on a ride.

I see drunk drivers on th road all the time. I just drive around their asses. I look both ways when going through a green light. I'm very cognizant of the fact that no one is going o attempt to keep me breathing but me, so I do my best to keep an eye on the other assholes out there (they are aplenty).

Two years ago coming back from Monmouth, I was on the Jersey Turnpike and someone crossed into the grass median at highways speed. I was going to opposite direction and watched the whole thing unfold at a distance. it was a wide stretch of grass and he went down the one side fast, up the other side fast, and crossed 3 of 4 lanes of traffic on my side of the highway (straight across my side too). If I wouldn't have been paying attention, we would have been dead because I watched him the whole time, was judging his speed, and slowed down to let him fly across the road about 20 yards ahead of me. Nobody ended up hitting him and he wasn't even drunk. It was just another reminder that fucked up shit happens all the time and you have to drive defensively at all times for a thousand different reasons.

There's a pile-up every other game, though?

Plus, how much are you paying to have this setup, where are you pulling cops from, and how many lives are you saving when those cops could be doing "police work" in Murder City?

If they were smart, the first DUI would be a slap on the wrist unless the person was excessively drunk. Make them put a breathalyzer on the ignition for 6 months, and go from there. If you get a second one, hefty fines, and a brethalyzer on the ignition for a much longer period of time. Third one, throw the book at them and put a breathalyzer on their ignition for the rest for their lives when they get a license back.

Further, start putting these exorbitant fines into programs that might help reduce future incidents of drunk driving if you really care about lives.

BTW, they actually had to amend the constitution for checkpoints to be legal. I think that's pretty pathetic and just another example of how much of a money making scam this whole thing is.

Some people say that alcoholism can be inherited. If alcoholism isn't a choice, then why is drunk driving? To me, they are in the same category, in which case you should be liable to prosecution for having "a disease".
