The main reason I don't want the Eagles to get him is because I could't handle having 2 Michigan WRs on the roster.

Could be worse-- you could have two Michigan LBs or safeties. Course, you probably already know that after Dhani Jones' time in Philly...

I'd rather have 2 Michigan LBs than 2 Penn State RBs (unless his name is Larry Johnson).

I like Mario's height, speed and hands and I have been a little surprised to see him fall off in the minds of draft experts. However, Thomas is bigger than Mario and ran a better 40 time. How that will translate when the games start is anyone's guess.

- Nova

I do not like MM's height. I think he'll be a third rounder, early.
MAYBE late in the 2nd, very late.

How it translates to the NFL starts with the draft Nova- and I think the measureables for DT are goin to see him taken too early. Either by the Bills if they cannot move outta 11, or someone else who feels they need a WR and this kid's got the specs- if not the resume or polish.

As for MM's 1 leg, saw that, but technically, TECHNICALLY- we all have 1 leg longer than the other, 1 eye bigger than the other, 1 nut bigger, girls 1 sweater bag bigger than the other- you get the point.

Devin Thomas was the one with the leg length issues, I think.

I can't imagine it matters at all, but it must have been a significant difference compared to the other players because it's the first time I've ever heard something like that reported.

"and I think the measureables for DT are goin to see him taken too early"

--I'm not arguing that point, but Mamula had great "measurables" as well.

Thomas probably will go high and maybe the Eagles have targeted him-but the kid had 6 catches with MSU prior to last season so there is not much of a track-record when it comes to performance ON the field.

My primary fear with Thomas would be that he is a "one year wonder" who ran a good 40. That being said, I like the kid. Had he stayed another year at MSU and put up solid numbers, he'd prolly be a top-10 pick next year.

I still think they go OL or secondary with the 19 pick. They might try to make a move into the top 10, but I think they stay put and take the best OL, S or CB.

BTW, the one guy I want NO part of whatsoever is that smurf DeSean Jackson out of Cal.

If they take him, there might be a repeat from 7th heaven at the draft party.

FD- thats who i thought you referred to.

Nova- The kid was a ju-co transfer into a bigtime program. Agreed- 1 yr resume. Nice specs on paper.

If the Birds end up with this guy- it will at least be intriguing. Id feel more optimistic about his chances of panning out than any of the other WRs they've ever selected under Reid. And I liked Brown. Still havent given up on him actually.

I AM WITH YOU ON DESMURF JACKSON 100%.
But don't worry about it- I dont think he's on their radar in earnest.

Regarding the smallest WR in NFL history...at would point would you consider him?

Never? High second? Late first?

I admit I'm curious about him because of his explosion in the return game and deep speed, but no way at 19. Just curious what other think.

If he was there in the 2nd round, I might take a flier b/c of his ability to return.

If they had a 2nd rounder to burn- say via a Sheppard trade?
Why not.
Surely not at 19.

John Clayton is reporting Dewyane Robertson was dealt to the Broncos.

Does anyone in the world like to trade for disappointing D-linemen who were drafted high that Shanahan?

I mean, he absolutely collects them.

not a particularly exciting idea to me...

FOXSports.com is reporting that Lito Sheppard was in Tampa on Wednesday to visit with the Buccaneers. According to FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer, Tampa is now the frontrunner for the disgruntled Eagles cornerback who appeared to lose his starting job in Philadelphia when the Eagles brought in Asante Samuel.

The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Bucs may include wideout Michael Clayton in the deal. Drafted in the first round in 2004, Clayton had a stellar rookie year for Tampa (80 catches, 7 TDs), but his production has been disappointing over the past three years (87 catches, 1 TD).

According to Glazer, the trade is likely to go down on Saturday. Tune in to my Live Draft Blog tomorrow for more info on this story and complete draft coverage.

Never mind, just clicked the link.

I know they did it at the home opener, after that song won a "what song should be played after the 7th inning?" internet vote contest. I haven't been to Shea this year, and I haven't heard it mentioned since the opener.
