I heard the FO of the Mets finally got clued in that the contest was Rick Rolled; as the song was selected as kind an internet goof and they were to have a new contest or selection process.

Not sure which thread this should go in, but it's another update on Lito from Bucs country. They apparently believe Lito either lied about meeting with the Bucs, or told a version of th truth (perhaps meeting with doctors, while his agent talked to the club). It does confirm a couple things, though:

- One, they believe the Rams are a serious competitor for Lito's services.

- Two, the Eagles have confirmed Lito was there for a visit...which almost certainly points to them attempting to pressure the Rams into bidding if they are on the fence. The Eagles never confirm anything unless it suits them.

First off, it's the POTENTIAL for 2 1st round picks.

Secondly, this interview will do more to hurt CJ than help him. I mean, after looking at his smarmy agent, would YOU give in to his demands, after you've been staunch in not moving?

Third, besides the cap hit, the offer from the Redskins is probably the best offer they're going to get for him. This thing has gotten personal, and considering what other elite WRs have gone for, getting the 1st in 08 and potential 1st in 09 isn't going to get beat by much. Even the Bengals, run my a couple of nimrods, know this. Any offer they accept that doesn't compare to this one will only bring more shame and ridicule.

Even if he's not traded now and June 1st comes, I still don't see him going anywhere. I just think this has gotten too personal, and stuff like Rosenhaus appealing to them via the media will do more to hurt his case than help. Especially if the Bengals feel like they're not doing this for just themselves.

Spuds says Lito didn't do anything in Tampa but visit friends. He met with no one, there is nothing in the works there.

He's also not worried about the "reported unhappiness" he has with his contract.

I love the idea that it's "reported unhappiness" because Lito doesn't bitch and moan publicly, but Spuds would rip him if he said a word to the papers.

Well, nothing is really being said, but they've had some decent guests like:

- Pete Prisco
- Adam Caplan
- Tony Pauline (I think that was him)
- Brian Baldinger

Nothing amazing, but some higher profile guys for an Eagles Live cast.

They are all just speaking generally, but they seem to believe the Eagles like Albert. They also think Albert will go too high for them to snare him.

They all think (except Spuds) Lito has a 0% chance of returning.

Nothing earth shattering.

So we should brace for a decade of Fat Albert jokes.

Kinda jives with what we discussed this am tho- I think Alberts their No.1 choice, but after him, im not sure Otah may not have surpassed Williams in many teams minds- so if they stay put or only move up a little, they may still get Williams whom I beleive they initally liked best.

Worst part is- he's a really nice guy.

Don't bother listening. No good meltdowns, Baldinger got cut due to technical difficulties, Adam Caplan is exactly as "plugged in" as we are, and Pete Prisco is a fucking idiot. I swear, that guy is a fast riser for "worst national football columnist". During his interview with Spuds he praised the Eagles for being one of the teams that does the draft right by "Choosing bigger players".

While they always go extra fat on the o-line and they've recently discovered big is beautiful at the LB position, is there a team in the league that is more likely to draft the undersized player than the Eagles?

There weren't any. Baldinger probably would have been good, but by "good" I meant "name" guests.

Normally it's "Frank from Cherry Hill" asking if the Eagles will take Chris Long in the first round OR trade their pick for Jerry Rice.

If the draft is this big nowadays, why don't media outlets hire former scouts/GM types to do their analysis?

10. Yes, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is absolutely crazy for adding Pacman Jones to an already volatile personality mix in Big D, but I kind of see what he's thinking.

He's thinking that he's won Super Bowls in the 1990s with a cast of characters who could go raindrop to raindrop with Pacman in any strip club across the globe. The Cowboys — even before Jones' ownership — never won Super Bowls with choir boys.

To Jones, Pacman looks no different from Michael "The Pipemaker" Irvin or Nate "The Weed Man" Newton or Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson or the group of Cowboys who opened the infamous "White House" in the 1990s.
