You'd have to be convinced that RW would help make this offense go, not just for McNabb, but for Kolb.
Why would Roy Williams be good for McNabb but not good for Kolb?
Can Williams only catch passes at his feet?

Because he comes with his own line of "Supah 5" pacifiers.

I'm hearing a lot of talk about June 1st being a relevant date as it pertains to the salary cap. For example, teams with disgruntled high paid stars are more likely to trade them after June 1st for salary cap reasons. Anyone know exactly how this works?

I think that after June 1st, the accelerated cap hit for bonus money can be pushed into the next fiscal year, sparing the 2008 cap.
That said, it hasn't been an important date recently with all the teams having so much cap space. It used to be like a second wave of FA.
Theoretically, the Bengals could take advantage of June 1st with Chad Johnson, but the cap isn't the issue there.

This is comical (via PFT):
Colts receiver Marvin Harrison has generally avoided the glare of the media spotlight throughout an NFL career that has spanned more than a decade.
So it should come as no surprise that Harrison wouldn’t talk to a reporter who tried to get a comment on the legal issues still hovering over Harrison as he returned to Philly from a mandatory minicamp in Indianapolis.
John Clark of NBC 10 attempted to intercept Harrison at the airport in Philly, but Harrison “suddenly changed directions several times” (maybe his knees have improved) in order to avoid Clark.
Harrison also ducked into an office and at one point “faked running down a set of stairs.”
The investigation regarding shots fired nearly three weeks ago from a gun owned by Harrison continues. Per NBC 10, police are waiting for DNA test results before moving forward.

How do you do that? Is that like the Austin Powers trick?

Boldin is a hot-blooded leader with unquestioned credibility inside the locker room.
Man, it would suck to have someone like that playing for the Eagles.

The browns have lost their starting CB, Davin Holly.
They will now be going into '08 with no starting CB on their roster.
in 2007, before their breakout year, the browns were said to be shopping Braylon Edwards, who wants a new deal. After his incredible season, his value will never be higher. That being said, the browns NEED Lito. Maybe a blockbuster can be worked out after all...
Lito, the eagles 2008 second rounder AND Reggie for Edwards... linc

No way would the Browns trade Edwards. Now that he's recovered from his injury and reached some of his potential, he's going to be with that team for a long time, IMO.
I'm glad the retarded Cardinals are going to have to deal with all this nonsense and it will help lead to yet another shitty season. The coaching staff is inexperienced and the ownership/front office is a joke.
You cannot, and don't really want to, keep 2 #1 WRs paid/happy. It's an embarrassment of riches, but 2 don't make you a better team, they cost too much, and they'll always be jockeying for the title of "the guy", whether it's complaining about how many balls they get or their contracts.
The Cards made a shitty bed and they now have to decide if they'll die in it or do the smart thing and deal Boldin for value.

PFT says that Roy Williams (no, not that one) will be used as bait to land a stud WR to pair with TO.
Seeing that the eagles have more picks in their arsenal...no rational, SANE team would take Roy over Lito, right?

That's a great idea. Take a player almost universally considered the most overrated (possibly at any position) in the game and use him as "bait" for an elite WR.
That should work out well.

Sadly I can see this working out in some way for Dallas.
First, no, Lito is a far better player at his position than RW.
Far better.
But The Boys didnt offer TO an extension or a new deal beyond this yr.
So given what they just gave MB III and Newman- Im thinking that TO isnt in their long term plans at the price he'll think he's worth.
If they do wish to a) Move Roy W, and b) Get rid of Terry Glenn and after next yr, TO, then c) something tells me that J.Jones is the type of maverick to put together a more appealing package to a team with a franchise WR to spare than Banner & Ried who covet long term security and down the road planning far more than the approach Jones has shown to prefer.
I think its 50/50 that Owens is elsewhere next yr at this point.
I think that after 6-1 we may see some trades occurring, tho im not prepared to say something like "book it" here. Just a feeling.

The additions of Pacman and Owens (back then) were the type of low-risk, high-reward situations that JJ seems to excel in. And besides, if JJ or Reid tells you he wants to win a championship this year, which one are you likely to believe?
RW makes Pro Bowls, so while he's overrated, there's at least a bit of a market that believes he's worth that. TO, I think, depends on this year. He age and the fact that he's going into his 3rd one-year deal don't make him immediately appealing, but he could re-sign during the season if he behaves (which I can see happening). No rush to grab the guy now, is there?
And just think - this team would look a lot different had Romo even been average.

I can't believe anyone who works in football for a living thinks Roy Williams is a starting caliber safety. I really can't (not anymore).
I mean, all you have to do is look at the Cowboys. They don't have a log jam at the position by any stretch and they are trying to dump him anyway.
Sadly, I also agree with Seth in the fact that Jerry Jones is a far superior dealmaker than the gold standard.
I bet Banner is the guy in your fantasy baseball league who just keeps offering you Corey Patterson for Hanley Ramirez.

Has Reid EVER said he wanted to win a championship this year?
Reid just wants to field a competitive team that is capable of sneaking into the playoffs-- playoffs, which are a total crapshoot because of injuries and little more than a game of luck.

In a world where "my knees don't bend anymore" Javon Walker gets starting money from the Raiders, is it that hard to believe someone thinks The Pillsbury Slowboy can cover?
Talon, Reid argues with the Morning Morons about his "building for the future" philosophy, saying that he thinks they can win a championship and he wants to win a championship this year, with this crew. He said it again on another interview.
He also said that this team will run the football more than any other Eagles team in the past 3-4 years, so grain of salt.
