Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Denver Broncos have traded restricted free-agent offensive lineman Chris Myers to the Houston Texans for a sixth-round pick.

Lavernous Coles has told the Jets he will not show up to any team programs until July. It seems more likely that he may get shipped out of town. I know that the Jets were mentioned as one of the teams interested in Lito.
At this point with Fitz, Williams and Johnson most likely to stay where they are, Coles may very well be the best option at WR. Not a huge upgrade, but an upgrade. At 30 years old, he has another 2-3 years left in him. He is not as much of an injury concern as most people think and would add solid leadership in the locker room.
Coles and a 4th rounder for Lito...

I'll pass on Coles.
I'd rather see the Eagles draft a taller receiver in the 2nd round.
He's probably an upgrade from what they got now but why bother.
Trade Lito for a draft pick.

im not really into drafting a WR, regardless of talent, so that he can take 2 years to get in the game. Its about who can help the team win now.

This will sound crazy, but I'm actually excited about the Glecko signing. I still recall when the touchdown pass to the fullback in the redzone was fairly common. And clearing a path for Westbrook or picking up a blitzer could be very useful to this offense. And the guy plays special teams. It could be a useful upgrade all around, if he's any good. Even if he only did spot duty in the red-zone, he still would be useful over just having Jason Davis.

If the Eagles “package” their draft picks, (I believe they have 14) and it could be 15 if they trade Lito for a draft pick it is very possible they could get
James Hardy, Indiana: The former basketball player brings a rare combination of size and athleticism to the position. At 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Hardy is a natural match up nightmare in the red zone, and his ability to score touchdowns (36 career scores) is unmatched by any other receiver in the draft. Though Hardy is raw and unpolished as a route runner, his freakish athleticism and outstanding hands make him an enticing addition to any offense. Expect a team to grab the Plaxico Burress-like talent in the late stages of the first round.
A Harold Carmichael clone.
I don’t think the Eagles would use him as their 1st pick (DT or OL) in the upcoming draft but they could get 2 picks in the 1st round if they play it right.
The Eagles can use their 2nd pick in the 1st round and draft this dude.
IMO he would fit nicely in their current offense.
And he should be an impact player right out of the gate.
It’s a long shot but what the hell.

Hardy is good, but having watched the majority of his games, you should know that many of those TD's were made off of scrub teams / almost division II caliber. He unfortunately is not as aggressive and can give up on a lot of plays. His size is a huge plus, but he is still very raw. He showed some breakaway speed against some shitty teams, but as soon as they got deep into big ten season, that speed was negated.

It's been said before, until the Eagles show that they have the end zone fade pattern in their playbook, the Plex Burress types aren't worth drafting. They already have a big body, who had great writeups coming out of college, that knows the offense and doesn't run end zone routes.
That fade pattern takes coaching and I don't think the Eagles know how to coach patterns that weren't in the Green Bay playbook.

HALL TRADE FALLING APART?
Posted by Michael David Smith on March 17, 2008, 7:17 p.m.
There are conflicting reports about the trade to send Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall to the Oakland Raiders.
Over the weekend, the trade was widely reported to be all but signed, sealed and delivered. oday Steve Wyche of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the trade is nearly final.
But Hall himself denied that the trade was close. And Adam Schefter reported today on NFL Network that the sides are not as optimistic that the deal will get done as they previously were.
“It doesn’t look like, right now, this trade is going to come to be,” Schefter reported today.
The Falcons and Raiders appear to have agreed in principle that the trade will consist of the Raiders sending second- and sixth-round picks to the Falcons, but the Raiders are only interested in consummating the trade if they’ve worked out a contract that will keep Hall happy, and right now no such contract is in place.
If a contract agreement is reached, Hall will be a Raider. If not, this trade isn’t happening.

From what I've read, it seems that Hall wants the same deal the Eagles just gave to Asante Samuel. Knowing Al Davis, you have to think that he will overpay here.
The Jets can keep Coles. He can make some big plays from time to time, but I would not trade a 26 year old CB for a 30 year old WR.
I like the WR from Indiana, but not in the first round. He has first-round measurables, but is not a good route-runner, needs to work on his hands and needs to develop better instincts on the field. If a team took him in late 2nd-early 3rd, they would have a nice project on their hands, one that could develop nicely into an NFL-caliber wideout in a couple of years.
I actually think getting a legit backup to westbrook is more important than drafting another mediocre wr. This draft is so deep at the rb position, there will be good players in the mid-rounds--if they draft a skill position guy on the offensive side of the ball, I am thinking RB over WR--just a hunch.
I still think the birds go O line in round 1. They could use a safety, but the only safety with a 1st round grading is Phillips out of Miami--great athleticism, decent player. He'll most likely be gone by 19, but even if he is there, I think AR and co. value the OT position more. Besides, Dawkins was a 3rd or 4th round pick--you can find good safeties in that area.

Cardinals GM Rod Graves is "optimistic" about being able to keep Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald together.
Graves called them "a dynamic duo" and says he's "looking forward" to talking with Drew Rosenhaus, Boldin's agent. Considering Arizona's cap shape, the club is not in position to give Boldin a raise. ESPN's Matt Mosley reports the Cowboys have discussed Q and could make a play for him.
I would be absolutley shocked if Q goes to Dallas. TO', in the last year of his contract, will not take kindly to having his agent negotiate a trade to bring in another WR with a brand new spanking contract of cowboy money

Also a "no" on Coles from me.
His body was wrecked in DC and he's just an average player now. Maybe about the same as Curtis, but not a huge upgrade.

I think Curtis is way better. He really gets little credit for a very good year in which he had horrible QB play and nobody to help out in the receiving corps

OUT for Coles.
Just found this nugget, and Im 'ALL IN' for this potential move if it were to be proposed:
There are rumors that backup quarterback A.J. Feeley might be traded soon, possibly to Green Bay. With the Eagles expected to move '07 second-round pick Kevin Kolb up to the No. 2 spot next season behind starter Donovan McNabb, Feeley is expendable. And the Packers are looking for a proven backup now that Brett Favre has retired and Aaron Rodgers has moved into the starting job.

I think Curtis is good, but his whole season was padded significantly by one game. The rest of the year he was just okay, for me.
He was better than I thought he'd be. I just felt like he was a solid player who didn't have much in the way of game changing talent.
