Just found this nugget, and Im 'ALL IN' for this potential move if it were to be proposed:

I read about that and if it's true, it's amazing. AJ is like the gift that keeps on giving.

Hopefully he'll get to play a little in GB so they cut him and we can start the precious mining again.

Agreed.

He isnt goin to change a game or strike any kinda fear into any D Coordinator's heart during film study.

I think he'd be an excellent COMPLIMENTARY WR, if they had a Stud true "No.1" in house, but otherwise, he is a nice lil' player whom I do not envision having similar stats this season.

I can't see anyone being opposed to the A.J. trade. With the booty he's pulled in via trade, he's turning out to be one of Reid's best draft picks.

Coles holds little interest for me. He's definitely past his prime.

I'm starting to think that a complimentary RB might be the best way to acquire a "weapon." Whether this is a guy who is drafted or signed, they should be able to find someone whom they can plug into the RB slot and contribute. It would really open their options with Westrbook, and once you start lining him up as a WR, defenses need to account for him, and suddenly McNabb has some options.

I don't see the QB play being as bad as it was, I think Brown will be better (even if only slightly) than last year, I think LJ will help free him up if he can stay healthy.

The most important thing will be better/steadier QB play.

Well any shot of Kevin Jones signing here are likely blown, after reading today on GCOBB.COM that Cobb talked to a person close to Jones, and let him know what HE thought was best for KJ (Not signing here, instead, going somewhere that needs an undisputed No.1 RB- cos, you know, that worked so well in the past, one thing you can say about KJ is that he can take that pounding alright!)

KB- agree on QB play.

Slightly diferent take on LJs impact- I see him being a guy who'll take balls away from both Curtis and Brown. He doesnt just (5) look to LJ inside the 20s.

You said a couple posts ago something about improved WRs- and i see here you're mention of Brown.

I havent given up on Brown (but its seems there's NO chemistry between he and 5 for whatever reason) but cant say now, in March, that he will improve, even slightly.

Id have to wait a while to say that (preseason games at least). Im hopin youre right cos again, I think Brown can really help this team if he plays to the level i felt he was capable of.

The only way I can see Brown improving is if a #1 comes in here. He's been ok for all his time here, and I don't see him even improving slightly this year.

I don't see Curtis having a better year, but it's not a stretch to say his #s may be about the same, if they don't get someone else in here. And considering 5 hasn't proven he can last a whole season, getting Kolb in there will be interesting (especially since no one in their right mind would object to the Feeley trade).

We'll see, I mean, Curtis was really the only option over 5 yards for the whole year, and even if you throw out the Lions game, that's close to 1,000 yards. LJ can only help that, as it'll create better match-ups for Curtis, since they don't have to have him covered and knocked all over the place and need to worry about LJ as well.

I think Curtis is not going to top his number from this season.

I think he has a chance to put up similar numbers, but I think it'll be in that 900- 1,100 yards.

That one game just MASSIVELY padded his numbers.

11/221/3 in a season where he had 66/889/3 in the remaining 15 games...that just a huge pad and I doubt he has that game again, so even if he plays better/gets better QB play, I think it will be a struggle to get back there.

Yeah, I think the two go hand in hand. In 4 games last year, the QB had a completion % of under 50%. I mean, come on. In 5 games, the QB rating was uneer 74.

I think if those numbers bounce up to average, that's 4 games right there where his numbers could see a lot of improvement and make it look more consistent.

But that's assuming Curtis was open and McNabb was just missing him. I didn't see a lot of that.

Bottom line is if you love him so much, you should sleep with him.

NTF

Seriously, there were A LOT of times McNabb missed wide open WR's this year.

But besides that, I'm saying that in a quarter of the games, the QB wasn't able to hit anyone, and in 5 of the games, the QB played like a rookie. Not just that he wasn't hitting him, but that he blew and couldn't do anything

Are those missed passes yards that he eventually get end up getting? If other people were taking those yards away from him, you'd think that with LJ returning (as stated before), it would diminish his returns further.

And we're still not 100% certain on which McNabb we'll see play when the season starts.

And there's the possibility that McNabb only plays a part of the season, too.

We all know that's going to happen, as much as we know that since Kolb will have moved up the chart, the chants will get louder. Until he plays his first game, of course.

Either way, a lot of questions will be answered.

I think you're right...I just think it will end up evening out with his monster game.

He averaged 59 yards per game over the other 15 games, so I think a healthy McNAbb might bump that up 10 yards per game, but you also have to figure for fewer opportunities with LJ back.

Like I said, I can see LJ helping, for the same reasons. He may get catches, but that could keep drives alive and allow Curtis to have more touches.

I don't think 4 or 5 average games will only equal that monster game. That average was affected by over a quarter of the season, and doesn't count games in which there was average play. Besides, throwing out the big game is a bit unfair in that it wipes out ALL the stats. I don't think 100 yards with a TD is an unreasonable game to award him there since it was the Lions, after all.

Plus, I think it's more likely LJ's catches come at the expense (and addition to) the crappy Lewis/Baskett/Avant contingent.

TE's had 49 catches for the Eagles last year. That's only 12 fewer than LJ's career high. I don't think his return is going to change much.

apparently Deangelo to Oakland is done. Atlanta now has 4 picks in the first 48 picks of draft. Atl 1 and 2, TEX 2 and Oak 2. Not a bad way to start rebuilding.

Fabion Washington is now being tangled as well as the possibility of Oakland's franchised DB "Nagasaki". Muddied water for lito. Clearly a better talent that washington however.
