True, but most aspects of judgment become victims of second guessing in situations like these.

Thought it was funny that I heard someone say the Broncos are STILL paying for Shanny's salary, and they'd have to pay for McD as well, but there's a report out saying that if the Broncos fired him for "cause" (such as mini-spygate), then they wouldn't be on the hook for the rest of his pay.

It's still a mess.

BTW, a couple of notes on our Thursday Night contestants (Indy @ Tenn):

- The Titans have now lost 5 in a row for the FIFTH time in the past 7 seasons. And it would've been 6 in a row had the Eagles adjusted to the fact that they found out Hobbs was turrible. That's insane.

Reid would get villified for that kind of record.

- Manning has thrown at least 3 INTs for three straight games. The last time that happened was in 1960. So no one - not Brett Favre, JaMarcus Russell, Pat Ryan or even Spergeon Wynn - has been able to do that in 40 years of football. And people want to blame Manning's lack of consistency with his receivers, but people forget he has no running game and the OLine isn't that good, which means he's getting hit more.

I mean, look at the SD game (I think it was that game) - he was grimacing before the hit came, and he clearly looked rattled.

The Colts will still make the playoffs, but they really don't look good.

AH suspended by the Skins for 4 games (hey! They only have 4 games left!) without pay for "conduct detrimental to the team".

Yeah! That'll show 'em!

Ugh.

I'm kind of surprised how quickly Haynesworth flamed out. You knew it was coming, but I didn't think he'd get T.O.'d in year two.

That has to go down as the worst FA contract in NFL history now.

I'd say Fat Albert. He was very productive at Tennessee and once he got paid, decided not to try anymore.

Russell was an Al Davis pick that shouldn't have gone as high as he did. Can't blame him because the Raiduhs saw something that wasn't there.

Def AH is the worse pick. Draft picks are hit and miss. No real issues if they don't work it seems.

AH is a fat ass piece of shit. Ugh.

And yes, the biggest game of the year and getting drove in that fashion is as embarrassing as it gets. Fuck me. I hadn't said much since really. lolz what is there to say?

And as much as I got on Cap't Andy for the indefensible kicking a FG when down 15 with under 4 minutes to go, Jeff Fisher has a 1st and 10 at the Indy 25 with about a minute left, and instead of kicking a FG and going for the onsides kick (yeah, low success rate), they get a TD with :04 left, making them unable to even try for a GWFG even if they did recover the kick.

That move was incredibly dumb and it's either a braincramp from one of the most respected coaches in the industry, or he's overrated.

Bass- you wanted Fisher to kick the field goal on 1st and 10?

Either way they needed two scores, it's not Fisher's fault if Collins is too stupid to put the ball in the endzone

No - but if the choice is taking a minute to get into the end zone and you only have a minute, the FG might be a better option (duh). And if the HC can't get his guy to get into the end zone quicker, then doesn't it reflect on him?

I can't imagine that Slowy Joey Collins would be that slow.

I know there's a certain level of retrospect involved, and you're basing your hopes on something that just doesn't happen, and in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't matter all that much.

Just saying in general, it's dumb all around to score with :04 left and you need 2 of them.

Bass- that whole last drive, on every play the announcers were saying "they need to throw into the end zone now", yet Collins just kept dinking and dunking. By the time they got down to the red zone it was too late.

Collins is a steady QB if you give him time in the pocket, but I think that what you get with him. He's not gonna take chances with the ball...to a fault.

Can't blame that on Fisher.

If you want to blame Fisher, how about the fact that Tennessee's defense is playing awful and can't stop two crappy backup running backs from Indy from gaining 5 yards a pop?

Or punting on 4th and 1 from their own 34 when they were scoring somewhat regularly in the 2nd half?

When I was listening, the announcers were taken somewhat aback when Indy went for it on 4th and 4 around the Titans' 36 and they called a draw that got them like 10 yards. Great call by Indy, bad stuff from Tenn.

Indy shouldn't be fooling ANYONE with their run game.

BTW, what happened to Moss? He went from serious threat to "Where's Chad Hall on the depth chart?" in one season.

Watching the Falcons...there isn't a bigger team of pussies in the league.

Watching Michael Turner avoid contact has been funny all season. He's been extremely productive, but he's not physical at all, which is strange for a guy his size. He's already run out of bounds a couple times this game when he could have scored or made a play and Matt Ryan just turtled up instead of putting it in the end zone.

I don't care because I have no vested interest in the Falcons, but I can't believe those seeping vags are 10-2.
