Also, that McFadden run today was epic. Great effort and talent.

Things playing out well for the Eagles today.
Packers lose to the Kittycats and the Bears are getting destroyed by the Pats.
Now just need a win tonight.

Fred, that's his second concussion this year right? That's definately not good news for the Packers, they looked like shit today without him. On top of that, they have New England, the VaGiants and Chicago to finish the season. They could end up losing out.

Sucks for the Packers. If their offense stayed healthy they'd be just about unbeatable this year

Yeah, they weren't playing well in that game, but looked completely lost on offense without him. Tough to imagine he'll play this week given it's his second, but I guess you never know.
The Jets losing to the Dolphins was interesting, by the way. That's a gut-check kind of game after getting destroyed by the Pats and they had no guts.
The Jets assistant coach tripping the Dolphins gunner...WTF was that? I've never seen anything like that before in my life.
Also nice to see the shitty Bears get put in their place.

Seems like a solid bet to me. Who's gonna beat em? Pittsburgh?

OK, I'm gonna say it, and risk the blasphemy. The struggle of the Jets is pretty much what I expected, and this incident, albeit surprising, is the water flowing downhill. As much as we all love and revere the Buddy years here, that kind of play is not surprising. Buddy always pumped the team up to the point that they figured that they were going to go out and just win because they were who they were. In the end, Buddy's teams were spectacular, entertaining, but had a lot of holes that were exposed by better coached teams, and by teams that let them beat themselves. What I"m seeing out of the Jets this season tells me that the apple hasn't fallen far from the proverbial tree. This incident didn't decide the game, but it's indicitive of the lack of overall control in their organization. They're talented, but they are going to beat themselves, much like they did today.

What does the Bears performance say about the Eagles? Truly, the Pats are the best in the NFL right now. Them losing would require THEM hurting themselves, because I don't know a team that can beat them. The closest team to it would be the Ravens because they seem to match up against that offense better than anyone else.
The Birds telegraph their secondary blitzes. Some of those were brutally obvious against Dallas tonight. Kitna is not Tom Brady. He'd burn the Eagles repeatedly. He also would eat them alive with the CBs playing so far off the line.
I don't like a match up between them and the Birds EXCEPT if they Birds can outscore them.

No blasphemy there, Hook. You nailed it. The Jets' inattention to detail will be the death of them. Plus, I'm not sold on Sanchez at all. He's still young, but doesn't seem to have the mettle of a Matt Ryan, Flacco or Rothelisburger (sp?).
The team undeniably has talent, but is it the right mix of it? Not sure. The Pats showed them who is still the class of the AFC. They did it to the Colts and Steelers and surging Bears. IMO, 3:1 is still favoring the bettor not the bookie.

Nah. Did you see the play? One meathead low-ranking coach made a stupid split-section decision because he thought he could get away with it. All he really did was lean forward a few inches.

Jules,
What it tells me is pretty much what I figured after the Bears/Iggs game. That specific game was the result of a good set of circumstances for them, and less than favorable ones for the Eagles. I'm not trying to downplay what you are saying in regard to this team, but I think that the level of play that the Bears were at that day is more of a product of a lot of things going right than a major slant in matchups which favor them. The way I see it, virtually every team is entitled to play their asses off and look like worldbeaters at least once in a season. It happened to the Eagles twice this year (ATL and WSH). It happened to the Bears against the Eagles. These events are the high water marks, but not necessarily the actual measurements of a team. It's not how high or how low you go, I think it's more about how you play when you're in the games in between. Both teams have done that rather well, but between the two, I'd still like the Iggs 9/10 times.

I don't like the Eagles 9/10 times.....6/10, sure.
The Bears front 4 was beating on the Eagles' OLine without much pressure, and Cutler was making the throws he had to. It's not a fluke like Detroit beating GB sans Aaron Rodgers - I think they're a good NFC team that just got demolished by a better team on a mission.

Surpised its actually 3-1. The only thing one can hope for is that Brady gets knocked out.

BTW, the Jets looked absolutely gutless (ironic considering their coach) against the Dolphins. I thought they'd lose that game, because getting punched in the mouth repeatedly for 60 minutes in the most important game of your season has a tendency to steal your confidence. Sanchez looked like a 2nd year guy, the receivers dropped some very catchable balls (Cotchery over the middle with about 2:00 left and in stride, and of course Holmes' TD drop) and LDT looks, well, old. The last 2:00 of the first half wasn't exactly executed well, either.
They look like a team that hasn't beaten anyone good.

Scratch that - the D looks horrible when compared to last year. They actually didn't do that bad a job against the Steelers, but Palmer's 2 INTs just killed them.
Speaking of Palmer, has anyone fallen so hard so quietly? It was just a couple of years ago when people thought he was going to end up being a very good QB, wasn't it?

I just don't see how any team in the NFL can lose 10 in a row with the shitty teams in this league.
Unless of course you are the the Detroit Lions.

ANNND as if on cue, TO comes out and says this:
“Sometimes, I just feel like I’m out there running,” Owens said when asked about the play-calling. “In the beginning of the game, I got some good looks. But after that, that was it. We had no adjustments.”
Owens had just one catch for 22 yards in the game. He’s taken a back seat to Chad Ochocinco over the last two weeks.
“I can’t throw the ball to myself. I can’t do anything else. All I can do is go with the plays that are called and just hope I get some opportunities,” Owens said.
The next 3 weeks can't come fast enough for this team.

The Pats are better than the Eagles. Their defense is stepping up at the right time and Brady is on fire.
I think the Eagles beat the Bears without too much trouble if they meet again, though. That was their letdown game, IMO.

Their defense is still a question, IMO, but the entire team has been putting on a clinic the last few weeks.
