NFL Competition Committee wants to have every score reviewed by the replay assistant instead of letting the coaches challenge it (so if the replay assistant upstairs thinks the call isn't clear, he'll signal the ref to review it). Interesting possibility.

Tom Modrak canned.
Given the state of the Bills, maybe that's one power struggle victory for the Fat Man that we should be happy about.

Couple of notables:
The NHL sent a letter to the 8th Court saying they should side with the NFL on the lockout matter. Somewhat self-serving, if only b/c this could set a precedent for other owners.
Link
(btw, which has a weaker Players' Assoc.? NBA or NHL?)
The Vikings have announced a partnership that would build a new stadium in Arden Hills, MN. The stadium still needs to be approved by the legislature, and if it doesn't (which is very likely), then the Vikings will most likely move.

Just found this funny. Reggie Bush tweets that he's not sweating the lockout...just enjoying the vacation and happy he's not "slaving away" in 100 degree heat.
Bush receives criticism and pulls the 700level classic..."j/k".
On a side note:
The timing of the posts heightened criticism of Bush because the flashy running back has been absent from workouts organized by quarterback Drew Brees, which have drawn several dozen Saints players to Tulane's football facilities.
So, "j/k" in the sense that he's not kidding at all.

Pretty much everyone knows the Saints will cut him at some point before the season starts - why bother "slaving" away"
Like an old co-worker once told me - if you're going to fire me, at least tell me before I go to work

Someone on there raised a point, saying that Cole Hamels has received more unwarranted criticism in Philly that McNabb ever did. When you stress the word "unwarranted," that becomes an interesting debate.

So the NFL has created a rule that will punish a team if they have too many illegal hits and infractions as such.
People are calling it the "Steelers rule".
Of course, James Harrison, Rhodes scholar that he is, tweeted:
I'm absolutely sure now after this last rule change that the people making the rules at the NFL are idiots.
Yup.

I wonder if Pryor will move for the supplimental draft, and if he does if he'd be worth a shot. I doubt he'd go higher than a 5th rounder considering but some hungry team for a QB could make a move for him, if they end up holding it in July.

A popular show, the video debuted three days ago and has just over 200 total views as of the time it was run on PFT.

Meant that for the Quotes thread, and THIS one for this thread;;;;
Join McNabb at his own party he's throwing for himself...its a 2 day affair, called "Vanilla Soul" and has angered some in DC by using pics of him as an Eagle on the invites...
Oh, and the invites read: "Join Philadelphia Eagles all time leading passer & future Hall Of Famer Donovan McNabb..."
NTF. Not lookin to debate whether he'll get into the HOF or not, just that he commissions invites that describe him as that. Funny.
You can click the link to see the invites (there's separate invites for each day of the party)
Worth a look.

I don't think he's done yet - TO keeps himself in phenomenal shape, he works out like a maniac, and he still has the desire to play. What age did Rice tear his ACL? Didn't he come back that same year?
If he IS done, then he's a HOF lock, despite writers like Lucha Latte not liking him.
