Talon, how come you didn't say anything when that IDIOT Atlanta head coach went for it on 4th down on his own 30 yard line in overtime? I was expecting for you to say it was the right move :)

I'm still looking for an explanation for why dumbass Sparano kicked the extra point at 15-10 instead of going for two.
Which might explain why his house is for sale in Miami.
Fins don't look like a cupcake W like they did 4 weeks.

Dick Vermeil's chart
I remember a lot of people throwing that out the window when it's early, with the emphasis on getting the sure points early on and using the chart in the 4th quarter.

It was the right move. If you can't gain 1 yard you don't deserve to win.

Dino, the move was dumb. On your own 30 yard line?
Doing it in overtime was moronic.
You basically give away the game if you don't get it.
You punt and let your defense play.
This ain't Madden

Hahahahahaha Minnesota has a 104 yard kickoff return, does not score on the return, and does not score AT ALL despite having the ball at the Atlanta 3.
It's stuff like that which gets coaches fired

So the Jags are being sold to a dude born in Pakistan, huh? Is the first time an NFL owner has been foreign born or am I missing something? Murdoch has never owned a team, right?

Didn't bother checking the link, but I saw him and the caption about Favre on Sunday Night, and that's all I needed to know

He basically aid "I'll kill the speculation because I know people will ask. I talked to all parties and don't expect Favre to end up on the Texans".
After I watched it, I just assumed Favre had signed with the Texans and that's what made him an idiot, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

He talks out of his rear end quite a lot, for example, some of his points are fed word-for-word by front offices (the railing for the longest time on McNabb and him trying to drum up trade interest mere weeks after trashing him in 09), and he has an overinflated opinion of himself.
Yeah, you could do much worse, but from a national standpoint, he's not very good at all

I've wondered that, myself. It's not unique to FB, though. I know a lot of people don't like King.
I read his column somewhat regularly and he's the only national football writer I read on any regular basis. He's always come off, to me, as a fairly affable guy. He doesn't claim to be a football genius who knows it all or a terribly opinionated firebrand, which I find kind of refreshing in the current culture of loudest yeller/most outrageous commentator getting the most attention.

I've always felt like he was much closer to the players and coaches than the front offices. Like, he's one of the few people who can call a player like Peyton Manning on his cell phone after a game and get some material for his column Monday morning.
Even with McNabb, I think he never gave him a super-fair shake, but discounting him for years would have seemingly been against the wishes of Reid and the front office.

I've always felt like he was much closer to the players and coaches than the front offices.
And I think that prevents a certain level of objectivity in some cases. For example, he barely mentioned anything about the Eagles' game, even though it was one of the biggest of the year and one of the worst losses in Reid's tenure. There was so much not to like about that game.
As far as McNabb is concerned, he never liked him, but he never came out every week and said "McNabb sucks out loud". But you could tell during some snippets that he didn't like him, with regards to his accuracy and the way that he played.
But that's what I found funny about him - he would bash McNabb from time to time, but then tried to prop him up as an elite QB when the FO was shopping him.

Heard something on 97.5 that should tell the Eagles FO that is time for Andy to hit the bricks.
9 different teams have won the Super Bowl in the last 13 years.
NINE TEAMS. The stupidity of keeping Reid around for another 2 years because they are afraid of change boggles the mind.
