they know theyve beaten arizona before, a site where thousands and thousands of philly fans invade whenever there's a game between the two teams, and essentially, only 1 heavy hitter left - beat new york, and take care of business in the dessert.

not that the cards are shams- impressing me tonite, without boldin and the defense etc- gettin pressure with only 4 man rushes- but delhome is just awful tonite and thats a huge part of this lopsided score and the 27 unanswered cardinal pts.

True, but the Cards are playing like their coaching staff is on fire.

The only reason I don't like a Cards/Birds NFC title game is because it'll be the Birds flying cross-country, and the Cards will have more than 4 days to prepare. But it makes tomorrow that much more interesting, nerve-wracking, and fun.

I don't know how you play zone against Warner and Fitz with no front 4 pressure - they're getting eaten alive.

That fake screen they threw to Fitz was absolutely brilliant. Carolina bit on the WR screen and Fitz was wide the f open. Absolutely brilliant.

That had to be a busted coverage, Bass. As soon as Warner turned to his right, The safety should have already been to that side, seeing as how Fitz was running free. Got there two steps too late, which is inexcusable considering who we're talking about.

I think it was busted b/c the safety bit on the WR screen.

And hey, Carolina remembered it has a running game!

"I'm on record about Fitz, but man is Kurt Warner playing great right now or what?"

You were also "on record" about Roy Williams too. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Sometime you fellas should go back and read through some of the older threads to see what is said and who says what. (Some good eye rollin' times.)

Anyway, ... not so much of the Cards being on fire. More of the Panthers inability to protect the football.

I stay on record too Dean-o. Roy Williams has the talent, and he's still young. Hell, YOU Dean-o said it was over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor- quit jumping the gun

Cardinals win!. Eagles will get to play cardinals, if they win. I heard someone say that if the Eagles win, they host the Cardinals. Hope that is true.

This feels like good karma to me.

As an Eagles fan, going into the Dallas game, you could not have asked for a better scenario to have played out. You just couldn't. I mean, Tampa loses to the Raiders, the Bears lose, The Eagles crush the 'Boys, win a road playoff against the Vikes, all you have to do is beat the Giants for a chance to be playing the Arizona Cardinals for a chance to go the the Super Bowl? Really???

Knowing this, I would expect the Eagles to lose in spectacular fashion tomorrow to the Giants. HA HA, joke will be on me - they'll win tomorrow and lose to the Cards...

Fuck it - GO BIRDS!!!! And for fuckssake, DONK!

all the genius talk of jeff fisher and john fox sure sounds funny right now.

this is gonna sound outrageous, but it wouldnt surprise me of one of the two is fired on monday.

with the expectations both teams had, something or someone has to pay.

I think Fisher and Fox's teams didn't have high expectations going into the season and exceeded them wildly. NOBODY had the Titans going 13-3.

Delhomme single handedly undid the Panthers. The Titans, its harder to say. The Ravens didn't break. Two tough luck turnovers going in the redzone. I don't think you can really say Fisher deserves to be fired. That was a close game that they could have won against an excellent team heading into the game with serious momentum.

The Cards didn't look dominant against the Falcons. I think they also played down to their competition. The Cards also had a fire lit under there collective asses being told that they really had no business there and that there were other teams that were more deserving yada yada.

For the record, I think the Birds would have their hands full with the Cards. It won't be a replay of during the season. Of course, the Birds blitz and the Panthers don't as often.

But someone mentioned Fitz being open alot....true, but he also made some spectacular grabs on a couple plays against double coverage. He also towers over the smurf CBs the Birds have which will necessitate even more blitzing. He's 6'3" and is excellent at coming down with the ball and adjusting.

Not sure, this is a matchup that does worry me. Provided the Birds don't shit the bed, as I fear they will tomorrow. Either way, you have to be able to beat the best (at the current moment). The Cards didn't look like the same team in a fugue state for the last several weeks. Wisenhunt seems like a genius for his adjustments at the moment. Getting back Edge may have given the opposition a little to be concerned about instead of just pinning back ears and chasing a QB cuz the offense is ONLY capable of throwing. Note, FB, chooses to throw.

Looking at Fitz and Boldin, makes me think that it would have been a fair trade for a first, second and clearing out the garbabe with Lito. I grant that is OVER-paying, but man could the Birds use WRs like those.

I said it before, several times, but I DO have to commend the FatMan for keeping the players motivated and focused when it would have been extremely easy to be deflated.

Wow, ... I've underestimated my power of influence.

Never, ever, prior to this instance, has a friend or acquaintenance taken my advice by ceasing to get into a witch's pants.

As wingman, I'll shoulder the outcome of this game on my, ... um, shoulders. Despite feeling somewhat nervous about having my finger on the "Buy it Now" icon on a pair of Super Bowl Tickets on ebay, I'm fairly confident about the favorable outcome of today's contest.

After getting bitchslapped by the Eagles' defense, the Giants are now considering bringing Plaxico back.

They should be embarrassed for even thinking about it.

One losing season in his coaching career - his first. That's crazy. And his style was contrary to a lot of other coaches, in how he didn't yell (according to Warren Sapp). Great coach.

His price tag will be insane if he decides to come back.

The Giants are desperate. Even they must realize not having him on the field hurt them in the end.

It's hilarious.
