Yep, it's official.

Looks like the guy couldn't stand another QB in the spotlight. /joke

In any event, that team will be a mess by midseason.

Assistant coach verbally abuses his boss.

Boss then pulls his card and promptly breaks assistant's jaw.

Assistant loses fight, then job.

Priceless

Vikings dumping Tarvaris Jackson

It's a shame that he's probably not coming here as part of the Reid-Childress exchange program. The Eagles could really use a 5th QB in the preseason.

Facist? If it was anyone else but a football player, they would have gotten screwed harder than Plaxico. Personally, I'm glad the system is finally starting to stop giving free passes to people because they are famous. If Plaxico wanted 'protection', he should have brought some dude with him to the club that had the gun instead. "Associating" with a dude with a gun at a club doesn't serve jail time and he can pay the thug if he gets caught.

STUPID.

But we already knew that.

His arrogance cost him 2 yrs and likely his career.

Later chumpie!

It’s worse to carry an unlicensed, loaded firearm, especially when you’re so uncomfortable with holding a dangerous weapon that you shoot yourself in the leg.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t live here, and your statement is ironic, considering he replaced an actual fascist.

Bloomberg has only become the most respected mayor in America, and he will go down as one of the best mayors in the history of this country.

The guy has overseen a drop in the murder rate to levels that this city hasn’t seen in over 45 years, so I’m not upset if he thinks people should have to serve jail time for illegally carrying guns, even if they did catch the Super Bowl-winning touchdown.

i'm a bloomberg fan, but what did he have to do with that? i thought "freakenomics" established that the decline in the murder rate was probably due to the legalization of abortion? the murder rate went way down during guliani's mayorship, too.

I'd say both are unsavory characters, but the type of person that can carry out barbaric, vicious acts of premeditated torture is way more indefensible than a moron who's trying to protect himself.

If a gun is tucked into a pair of sweatpants, can an accidental bullet hit anything but the carrier's leg or genitals?

Not only could the gun be positioned that it fires a bullet backwards- hitting someone else, but a bullet could conceivably pass right thru the leg and hit someone else as well

Anything can happen, which is the whoel point of the stiff laws in NYC when it comes carrying most places.

Really, that's my same argument for hoping people stop taking guns to town hall meetings. It's just potentially dangerous and the upside (none that I can think of) doesn't make up for the downside.

f-d, you have to allow people to carry guns to town hall meetings because it's their right to hunt down socialism.

i'm a bloomberg fan, but what did he have to do with that? i thought "freakenomics" established that the decline in the murder rate was probably due to the legalization of abortion? the murder rate went way down during guliani's mayorship, too.

Does Freakenomics say anything about why people in Philly didn’t have abortions?..because that city’s murder rate has escalated (or skyrocketed), while New York’s went downward. Is it too obvious to say that New York has had strong leadership while Philly had John Street?

Also, you can’t walk five feet in this town without running into a cop or seeing a camera. I think that makes a major difference.
