Burress suspended for two weeks for violating team rules - missing practice and not answering their calls.

Slight misnomer since they have a bye week and an opponent (Seattle) that masquerades as a bye week.

I'm shocked nobody mentions the Chiefs as candidates for the WORST team in football.

I guess the idea there is they are rebuilding and everyone knows it. They are also on down to their 3rd string QB on a rebuilding team.

What a fucking idiot. No way would he be suspended if they had Dallas after the Bye, though.

Matt Millen has been fired

A little late for all this, don't you think?

Was he the worst GM in modern NFL history?

Definitely the longest tenured with the worst record (which would make him the worst, I guess).

Funny that it took Clay Jr. to set the wheels in motion and not his abysmal record (which included 8 road victories in 58 tries). Which brings up the point that the powers-that-be aren't really interested in on-the-field production, since most teams would've fired their GMs for this type of performance.

Or maybe he got back the pics of Clay Sr. with a llama, who knows?

The Lions have won only one playoff game and are an NFL-worst 31-84 since Millen took over in 2001.

Seriously. That's just flat-out putrid.

Meant to say Bill Ford, Jr., not Clay Jr.

I knew that stat was bad, but I had no idea they didn't win a game on the road for THREE YEARS at one point.

Millen was spotted amid large packing boxes Wednesday morning. There was no word on what happens with the rest of Millen's contract; he had an extension that ran through 2010, worth $5 million a year.

And the Eagles didn't want to rework TO's contract????? Jizus Kriest.

I didn't realize that sucking at another job pays MORE than my job by more than an order of magnitude, AND without legal liability! 5 million a year...ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME??

Here's a better gem from the same article:

"We're fine," Millen's wife, Patty, told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. "In the world's view, this may look like failure. It's been a hard road, footballwise, but we've gotten a lot of eternal blessings. We'll move forward. I told him, 'You're out of football prison now' and we have a greater purpose."

Hell yeah, you're fine bitch.....he made 35 million....are you kidding me? With that kind of money, you could afford a studio in Manhatten.

With Millen out is there any chance the organization revisits dealing a WR....if so would the Eagles revisit the idea.

Apparently, they have to make a hard decision whether to move Roy Williams by the trade deadline. They have no one in place to make that decision. Roy hints towards only wanting to be dealt to Dallas. "As you get older in this league, you want to go home to play. And I'm from Texas"

His wife calls it 'football prison'?

This nut got to fly home on the weekends, was GM for a team much longer than he deserved to be, made picks for that franchise that made no sense, had an in with the owner, and SHE calls it prison?

He made his bed, and then dropped leeches and tarantulas on it. The prison was his own doing.

Anyone else think the Westbrook Injury is much worse than reported? He said he hasn't been able to even jog on yet. Ankle sprains, more specific high ankle sprains take a loooooong time to heal
