Seth, Golic's done countless Nutrisystem ads over the years, he's lost a lot of weight because of a balanced diet.
I'm not saying he doesn't work out, but I doubt he's running miles a day to stay in shape. Maybe he treadmills or bikes a bit. There's a huge difference between what any of the best of us do to stay in shape and what a professional athelete is expected to do to stay in shape. That's all I'm saying, not trying to take anything away from Golic at all.

I'll believe it when the pictures come out. Not saying the story is fake, but it's worthless without evidence.
The crocs photo they described would be epic.

Quasi-related, Favre tops the Sportsline list of 50 biggest all-time sports jerks.
Edged out hopefuls like Barry Bonds, Tonya Harding, and Lawrence Taylor for the crow. Seems fair.

Just so we're clear, guy who flaip flops on retirement every off-season = bigger jerk than someone who hires a hitman to break the knee of a competitor.

Obligatory "get off my lawn" ranting from John Riggins, saying McNabb will come closer to winning an election than being a SB winning QB", and his disagreements with Haynesworth.

And like plenty of NFL fans, Riggins is tired of hearing about Brett Favre.
"If you see this man call the local authorities," Riggins said of Favre. "Do not try to apprehend him by yourself. He's nuts."
Riggins is fucking nuts. Some of the stuff he says is hilarious, but I seriously think he took a few too many shots to the head.
Also, unrelated to his comments linked above, I have no idea who he blew to get into the HOF, but that was a gift.

I'm not saying anything he is saying is accurate, I'm saying that anyone your delusional opinion thinks is great is likely insane.

Anyone catch the Albert Belle blurb in the Sportsjerk article?:
"37. Albert Belle: This remains one of the great sports anecdotes of all time. From former New York Times baseball writer Buster Olney: "It was a given in baseball circles that Albert Belle was nuts. ... The Indians billed him $10,000 a year for the damage he caused in clubhouses on the road and at home, and tolerated his behavior only because he was an awesome slugger. ... He slurped coffee constantly and seemed to be on a perpetual caffeinated frenzy. Few escaped his anger -- on some days he would destroy the postgame buffet ... launching plates into the shower ... after one poor at-bat against Boston, he retreated to the visitor's clubhouse and took a bat to teammate Kenny Lofton's boom box. Belle preferred to have the clubhouse cold, below 60 degrees, and when one chilly teammate turned up the heat, Belle walked over, turned down the thermostat and smashed it with his bat. His nickname, thereafter, was 'Mr. Freeze.'"

I'm pretty surprised at how that guy has stayed out of the public eye since leaving baseball.
