AP was a real pleasure to watch today. Guy's tough as hell and runs like he was shot out of a cannon.

Brandon Jacobs has supposedly requested a trade.

He can be the spokesperson for Rice Krispies Treats. Dude is DONE. If anything, it shows you the shelf-life of halfbacks, especially one as tall as him. I mean, anyone see Shaun Alexander lately (aside from NEAG)?

Yup. What he needs to request is a time machine.

Also, whipping your helmet into the stands isn't the best way to show your team you're there to help them win.

BTW, with the way QBs are "protected", how is this NOT a penalty? The refs screwed this up big time.

Kubiak and the Texans were really lucky to win that game after he pussied out of either kicking the ball or going for it on 4th and 4 in Washington territory. I think it would have been a 53 yarder for Rackers, whose career long was 54 or 55.

I don't know that I necessarily would have gone for the FG, but I think going for the first makes a lot of sense. I don't believe in this playing-not-to-lose shit. You have the ball in your hands. You control your own destiny. You go for the win.

Instead, they punted a touchback and had a net gain of 14 whopping yards. Then they got lucky that Washington's kicker missed his second try.

I don't know how much of that game you guys were able to see, but McNabb looked pretty sharp for much of it. It looked like one of those games when he was in the zone. I think his halftime stats were something absurd like 12/16 for 285 yards.

However, he missed on a shot to seal the deal toward the end of regulation, firing a 3rd down bomb into the end zone that was just beyond the wide open receiver. He then let out a very familiar dejected look.

I did see gamebreaks and the last throw by McNabb - he makes that, the game is over. I don't think anyone here thinks he doesn't have it anymore - downside of his career, sure.

Kubiak is really lucky they have that icing the kicker rule. Washington's kicker made that FG with yards to spare, and when he missed, it, you could've heard a pin drop in the stadium.

Reid was probably looking at that game like a guy who's watching his ex-gf having sex with another man, but choking his chicken over it.

Just pointing out if Manning was DDT'd into the ground like that they'd get suspended, etc. Or at least have a quick whistle.

Welcome to Hall Island, bitches...

"That's how it was. That ain't how it's going to be from here on out. I'm going to be wherever the [expletive] ball's going," Hall said. "Wherever the receiver's going, that's where the [expletive] I'm going. That's the bottom line. That's something we got to do in order to win games. So that's what's going to happen."

And apparently, defensive coordinator Jim Haslett's opinion on the subject is not of great importance to Hall.

"It don't matter what he say," Hall said. "It don't matter what he say. This my team. This my defense. So I'm [going to] follow the receivers around. That's what I'm [going to do]. If we got to do that to win games, that's what we do."

Yo, click it

So any Farve haters loving the collapse in Minnyhaha so far? How much of a leash do you think they give him? I mean, it's hard for Chilly to complain on Farve when he plays like last year, but 1 TD and 4INT's so far this season and it's looking pretty bad for him.

Not sure if this was posted by anyone else but.....

"Something Could Happen With RB Bell"

Earlier in the day, rookie running back Joique Bell, an undrafted product of Wayne State and a member of the Buffalo Bills' practice squad, intimated on twitter that he was signing with the Eagles.

While nothing is official, head coach Andy Reid acknowledged on WIP sportsradio 610 during his weekly radio show that "something could happen" with Bell in the next day or two and that the running back is in Philadelphia undergoing a physical. He did not say what the corresponding roster move would be if Bell is signed to the active roster. Reid did say that Bell could be a contributor both as a running back and as a special teamer.

Bell rushed 27 times for 152 yards in four preseason games.

Woudn't be bad to give this kid a looksee eh?

Actually, I'm hoping they don't really bring in too much change unless they're getting rid of Mike Bell. Shady needs as many touches as he can get to build confidence and showcase what he can do, and it's not like RB's get a ton of carries as it is with Reid's system.

I think there is a reason why Mike Bell has been on like 14 teams in 5 years....Maybe they are looking for a backup upgrade if you will.

Jules, Reid feels strongly about what they have on the OLine right now.
