Boy, I'll be damned if your degenerate behavior costs me my home! Now save the wise talk for another thread. Lastly, I thought I taught you how to pay your respects to the deceased? My goodness son, grow up.
RIP JJ.

JJ you will never be forgotten. Under you, the Birds had a ferocious D and ranked 2nd overall in D during your tenure. But ranked 1st in our minds and hearts. God bless pal. You will be missed.

“This whole Eagles-Andy Reid regime here that’s taken place wouldn’t have been possible without Jim,” said Andy Reid, who hired Johnson to be his defensive coordinator shortly after he got his first head coaching job with the Eagles in 1999.
“I’m not sure there’s a person that I’ve met that isn’t a Jim Johnson fan. He really represented everything this city is all about with his toughness and grit. That’s the way he fought this cancer.”
Truer words were never spoken. Thanks for giving us a lot of memories, Jim.
Rest in peace.

Sad to see him go.
When you think about it, the guy (deservedly so) rec'd more focus and notoriety for such a sustained amount of time in broadcasts, from other teams co-ordinators & players around the league via interviews for segments during a game telecast etc- than any assistant coach I can remember in all my years watching the NFL.
The guy's scheme was a perfect fit here with its brash, in your face style and relentlessness. The guy's D ranked 2nd over the past 10 yrs in sacks and 5th overall during that time and paved the way for 26 pro bowl appearances. That's really, really something when you stop and think.
McDermodtt has huuuuge shoes to fill. I'm hoping he takes the advice he was supposedly given by JJ- "Blitz, and blitz again".
RIP JJ, and thanks. Defense is supposed to be more fun that offense to watch and you certainly made that the case for me.
