As news that would slightly interest only me on this site, because Shanny called McNabb dumb and fat, his stamina rating in Madden 11 will drop 8 points in the next update.

I do not have nor have I played Madden 11 (other than the demo), but this is funny nonetheless.

I dunno what to make of any of it. I'm not happy with Shanny or Donovan but damn. As a fan, it's some of the worst. At least if the team sucks it's no biggie. But benching a QB that was gonna turn it around is a crock...

I can't think of this as anything other than Shanny trying to shake McNabb's complacency (IMO) by getting McNabb good and pissed for the 2nd half of the season. Everything that's been leaked has been out in the media.

Fireable offense? I don't think so, b/c I don't think he's a racist. I think he can be increasingly petty and the way he handled the Haynesworth situation wasn't exactly in-house, but I think he feels McNabb can play better than he has been, and I think McNabb needs to play better if he has any chance in getting one last big payday before he's doing NFL shows.

IMO, Shanahan is just taking a page out of Reid's book (ravens game). It's a shame that an 11 year veteran needs a "time-out" to improve his play.

I was surprised B-mitch agreed with Feinstein. I don't see where the racism part comes from. Because Shanahan has had only 1 non-white QB before coming to DC??? Seems far-fetched to me.

what he's talking about by saying "racial coding" is that Shanahan is using code words or euphemisms in his changing explanations on why he pulled him from the game. Basically he's taking the "Bizarro Limbaugh" stance here, playing the role of McNabb apologist. B-Mitch may have nodded his head and said "hm mm" but I doubt if you asked him if he thought Shanny was racist that he would agree with that. More of him defending his old teammate. The only thing that would even deserve consideration in this is that Shanny's excuse that "he doesn't know the playbook" was pretty lame. I happen to think it's all nonsense though- I think Shanny just sees how mediocre #5 is
