That's my prediction.

Eagles will go up 24 - 0 at halftime by scoring 4 TDs and Alex Henery missing 4 extra points. One TD by the Eagles will be on a double-reverse on the 1 yard line that Maclin will fumble as he attempts to pass and be recovered in the endzone by Danny Watkins.

Fred Jackson will rush for 300 yards in the second half. At least. Whoever the Bills tight end is will have a career day. Eagles will be out of timeouts halfway through the third. Something bad and stupid will happen that will prevent them from winning.

An example of madness is trying to predict how this team will respond.

Two rookies on the OL (one who's been inactive for 3 games when he was supposed to start right now) and their best OLineman out.
As a result, a QB who's been taking a pounding.
Depth issues on the DLine (and it's been documented that they tire out in the 4th).
Bad LB/safety play, going against an up-and-coming TE.
Bad line play against the run in the 1st and 4th quarters.
One of their players admitting Juan Castillo is STILL learning how to call plays on the fly, a friggin' month into the season.
CBs that aren't playing up to their contracts (and Saumel playing like he'd rather be somewhere else).

Vick came out and said the Dream Team stuff is dead. That really tells me this team is having a crisis of confidence, barely a week after being OVERconfident, and getting shocked by a team they should've blown out (and even with the lead, they didn't look great doing it). Can they turn it around? Possibly. A win against Buffalo? Not completely out of the question, given 1) Philly's desperate, and 2) Buffalo's defense stinks.

The thing that troubles me the most about this team? Fundamentals. Not playing smart football. They're a mess more than the local media has reported, and while a win here makes everyone feel ok for a week, it doesn't fix the main issues.

I think they win (it'll be like 03 all over again, though not with the 12-2 run), but it's just delaying the inevitable.

Sadly, I think this team goes on another "fool's gold" run, purely because none of us want to see it. Fate is laughing at us, consistently teasing us with Andy Reid's collapse and then swooping in to rescue him from the clutches of termination.

Well, fuck you, Fate. Go ahead. Try it again. I know that I just bet against the Eagles, which makes it all but certain they will win, but like Sisyphus pushing the rock, I'm sticking with prediction and clinging to my futile hopes that Reid flames out this year and gets shit-canned.

Buffalo is a rising team that has learned how to win and the Eagles are a declining team that has developed a bad habit of finding new ways to lose. The theme of the 2011-12 season is enlightenment since all of Reid's flaws are surfacing and are on full display each week. I think this is the perfect season for the Eagles to have a 3-12-1 season since the Eagles have never had so much talent, and Reid needs to be exposed, already. I wish for the fewest possible injuries so that Reid has no excuses and Lurie/Banner will be forced to change regimes. Lurie's/Banner's biggest fear is paying the signing bonus to the unproven #1 overall pick, therefore it would be appropriate for the Eagles to have the worst record in the NFL.
