I've got no clue either. 10-6.

I think 10-6, but the schedule looks 10-6 to me just about every year. There aren't a lot of gimmes on there and the preseason didn't go very well for the starters, but it really seems like they have the pieces in place for a decent season.

Yeah, in no way do I believe that they'll bottom out and end the division last, even if Vick misses an extended period of time. The DL looks very good and LBs are better than last year (really liking Kendricks). But the offense could be an issue.

Shoot, even some of the Ls I have down (Giants/Dallas/Washington/Arizona) could easily be Ws. The only reason I picked Arizona as a L is because of the left coast thing, plus it's early enough in the season.

Yeah it's hard to pick them over Arizona, or any west coast trip for that matter. Reid historically is shit on cross country trips and for some reason Arizona seems to step up for them.

The issue for me in prognosticating is I don't know what to expect from NYG and Dallas.

They MIGHT steal one from NO cuz the whole offseason and disarray they might be in.

Detroit and Baltimore beat the Eagles.

Steelers don't run the ball much and the Burds have won the last several meetings with Reid as coach. I'll give the nod to the Birds.

Carolina might be a loss and leaning towards Cam over Vick. I'm sure the media will have much to say on that match up. Great week for lazy journalists with an easy storyline.

Birds over the Falcons.

Eagles over TB unless Freeman gets over last year's slump (nothing to suggest that).

Eagles 4-2 in the division?

Beat Pitt, Cle, No, ATL and TB.

Lose to Bal.

Tie Cin.

Carolina and Arz SHOULD be wins but we know how gimmes are....1-1.

10-5-1 or 9-6-1

Eagles -9/-8 on Sunday. I guess Vegas thinks they are for real just like last year. Seems to me last year many games the spread was ridiculously high like Vegas expected them to blow teams away. And we all saw what happened. I thought the spread on Sunday was gonna be like -5/-6. -9 is a joke. I think the Browns suck but good lord.

I like some of the things I saw in the preseason games but there are certainly plenty of concerns as well. Like a lot of the rookies.

I still think the middle of their defense is very suspect and teams will game plan to attack that much like last year. Every team the Eagles play this year will attack the middle of their defense until they show they can stop it.

Vick stinks. Not a top notch QB in my book. Never was and never will be. Losing Jason Peters was huge. Best player on the team. Vick will get hurt again and miss games. Slide or get out of bounds douche.

Also plenty of pressure on the coaching staff and if they should lose on Sunday or any of the early games in their schedule then pressure will build every week. Maybe they will be 4-4 half way and prove me wrong but I doubt it.

I see 9-7. First round losers in the playoffs as a 6th seed. Jeffie fires the fat man and moves him to the front office.

R U ready from some football?!!! FKN A BABY!

I agree with section 371 about the middle of the defense, Vick, Peters, however I disagree regarding the "fat man" whom I think is more likely to fire "Jeffie."

09/09 CLE (A) W 1-0 Foles gets mop up duty in 4th Q
09/16 BAL (H) L 1-1 80% passing plays and Reid admits he needs to do better job
09/23 AZ  (A) W 2-1 Sack party for everybody including Graham
09/30 NYG (H) L 2-2 Foles finishes after Vick concussion and almost wins
10/07 PIT (A) L 2-3 Get the torches and pitchforks ready
10/14 DET (H) W 3-3 Detroit plays down to Eagles level in high penalty game
10/21 BYE (H)   .500 at the bye week
10/28 ATL (H) W 4-3 Reid always wins after bye
11/05 NO  (A) L 4-4 back to .500 and fan base wants Foles to be starter
11/11 DAL (H) W 5-4 Winning is the best deodorant
11/18 WAS (A) W 6-4 Easiest part of schedule
11/26 CAR (H) W 7-4 Foles gets extended mop up duty in 3rd Q
12/02 DAL (A) L 7-5 Loss is 100% Reid's fault
12/09 TB  (A) W 8-5 Eagles look like a contender in blowout
12/13 CIN (H) L 8-6 I hate Thursday games
12/23 WAS (H) W 9-6 Washington forces overtime and almost eliminates Eagles
12/30 NYG (A) W 10-6 Eagles steal sloppy game and steal NFCE and Coughlin's face turns purple

No better than 9 - 7 because Vick is lousy and Juan Castillo is their D coordinator.

In my opinion bassiladelph the reasons you should believe are because you already have them at 8-8, and just 1 or 2 more wins and they could make the playoffs:

The last few years have proven you could possibly win the NFCE and/or sneak into the playoffs at 9-7. While Reid can't win a Championship game, he certainly can beat the other NFCE teams and NFC teams, more often than not. Let's face it, there are plenty of cream puffs scattered on the schedule. No matter how good the other NFC teams are, all teams play each other, and everybody accrues losses.

The Eagles have plenty of skill at the skill positions and Reid will likely finally achieve his dream of assembling a dominant DL. While they can't score in the redzone the Eagles can score on 1 play from anywhere else on the field. Having McCoy will force them to run the ball in the 2nd halves and protect anticipatory leads.

Finally, they called themselves the "dream team" in 2011 and are returning mostly the same starters, and their 2011 excuse was the shortened offseason. They claim the full offseason has somehow benefited the team.

Worse case scenario, it could turn out that Reid/Roseman/Lurie are the three stooges, and if so, we could see 4-12, and Lurie will explain why he is extending Reid and making him the highest paid coach in the NFL based on intangibles.

So.......realistically they need to go 7-3 the rest of the way to win the division (assuming 10-6 gets it done). They have a 1-2 record in the conference right now, which they need to fix if the division is out of reach.

They need to hope the Giants go 4-5 going into the final week, if they want to win the East. The Giants schedule is kinda brutal after their bye:

@Dallas Cowboys
Pittsburgh Steelers
@Cincinnati Bengals
Bye Green Bay Packers
@Washington Redskins (MNF)
New Orleans Saints
@Atlanta Falcons
@Baltimore Ravens
Philadelphia Eagles

Woof, that is a tough 2nd half.

Don't see it but stranger things have happened in this league.

Every week these games are crazy. The NFL wanted parity and they got it.

I see the Giants going 6-3 on that schedule, losing at Washington, to Green Bay, and at Atlanta.
