Great player, great career. I agree with EAG that he'll need a little luck, but he's probably one of only two players from the Reid era with a shot.

A little bit christy for my taste, but thankfully he played like he hated j-sus.

A few longtime posters have him as a "lock"

The other being...TO? Supah 5? Runyan?

I'd like to see Runyan in before McRib.

Troy Vincent, IMO.

T.O. will get in, I assume, but I didn't even think of him.

NTFF!

As I see it, the things working against him are the fact that not a lot of safeties get in and there are a couple from his era who have to be inducted first.

The guys who will be in the mix are probably Ed Reed, Palamalu, Adrian Wilson, Rodney Harrison, Darren Sharper, Dawk...I may be missing a player or two.

Then you have older guys like Darren Woodson who still aren't in.

I think he has a really good shot for a lot of reasons, but I wouldn't call it a lock.

One thing that may really work in his favor is someone from that era of the Eagles probably has to be inducted and there aren't many other options.

NEAG- who is the longtime poster who said he's a lock?

His career's worthy, but the NFL is weird with Safeties in the HOF.

The other LTPs I saw on your FB page, none of them said he was a lock either.

McRib is not goin to make the HOF imo, to whomever said they'd like to see 69 make it in before supah 5.

Not sure either make it but Im pretty confident McRib aint making it.

One of my all time favorites. Glad he retired before his neck gave out. After he left (to steal a term from NEAG) this team just seemed gutless.

I agree and I don't either of those two has a shot. Runyan was great, but I don't think many right tackles with one pro bowl on their resume are getting in. I think he's probably more of an "Eagles Honor Roll" guy.

McRib has a better argument than Runyan, IMO. Not to say 5 is getting in (and I liked how he compared his #s to Jim Kelly as an argument for getting in), but he'd be the closer of the two, IMO.

Yeah I agree neither of them make it but I just think Runyan dominated his position more than McRib did. There are a few other, better OT's to pick from, but there are a lot of (SB winning) QB's to pick from other than McRib.

Of that safety list though, Harrison is retired and will be up first. Sharper retired after him. Personally I think Dawk was at least as good on the field as these two guys. The others are still playing so it's hard to put them up with having to get in before Dawk.

I don't think Darren Woodson is a HoF player though, good player but not HoF.

McNabb has NO SHOT. FWIW, I think Dawk gets in - I cannot think of another Eagle who does though.

Dawkins not sure if he will sign a one day contract to retire an eagle...WOW.

Still very hurt with how he left Philly. The fact they have still not replaced him combined with Dawkins disdain for the F.O is an incredible embarrassment for Lurie and gang.

Not only will 20 sign a 1 day deal to retire as a bird, but he will not drag it out and he will go over board citing fans and former teammates as the reason as to why he does it.

it'll make his pt, in his view, and the eagles brass absolutely MUST offer this to him or they may as well pack their shit and head to beantown.

it gets done.

Reggie
Dawkins
Joyner
Randall
Eric Allen
Jerome
Trotter
Westbrook
Runyan
Tra

this is freelance, off top of head, im prolly goin to wanna remove a third of these cats for others but just tryin to make a point that after Reggie White- the greatest player to wear green in past 20 yrs is Dawk.

u clearly just like to take issue with me.

by all means make your own top 10 over last 20 yrs
hell i did mine in 27 seconds and said as much- off top of head.

i just have issue w/ a PK in top 10 but i prolly should honestly consider him.
he's likely one id put in, and remove someone else come to think of it FB.

Any others u disagree w/?

Unpopular as he is, maybe you give McNabb a spot on longevity alone? I mean, last 20 years right? what did Randall do after 1992 in Philly?

Randall > McPukeyRib

If i were to just look at numbers id agree w/ you- and longevity is whatd put him over 12

but i cannot get over what a douchey mommas boy 5 was is, let alone the McMartyr crap.

At least 12 was just nuts cos he lost both parents relatively early and wasnt grounded enuff.
