I had a 10:30PM draft tonight on Sportsline. Everyone had so many conflicts, and this was the only day it could be done. It had to be at 10:30 in order to accomodate guys in L.A., as well as South Korea.

So we get into the draft room, it begins, but there's no timer. The timer is not there, and everyone just takes their time. The draft ended at 1AM. Fun.

By the way, Seth, if you haven't run your draft yet and would like me to mail that draft kit thing to you, shoot me an email with your addy.

Are you saying a 2 1/2 hour draft is long? I had one on CBS on Saturday evening that was 18 rounds long with 2 minute pick times and it went at least 2 1/2 hours. If not a bit longer. Though we had to suspend it for 40 minutes when some dudes computer crashed so I am adjusting for that but I don't know the exact time the draft took.

10 teams, 25 slots, 10:30pm start last night. It took right around two hours.

The draft was 12 teams and 13 rounds. In years past, it was only one hour long. With no timer, that number magically jumps to 2.5 hours. It didn't help that we had some real morons in the league who couldn't grasp the importance of preparing for your pick by putting guys in the queue.

The draft in BD's league took 6 hours... but then again Seth was pounding brews.

Yeah. Seth was entirely to blame for that draft running too long.

A) In BD's actual league, I was ready with all my pix as soon as i was up- brews be damned. 1 pick took me a while when i diliberated whether to pull the trigger on Freddy Taylor (which i didnt do) when he was still there late. Everyone stalled at that decision.


B) ENY- i think youre referrin to the other league where BD is a member- our draft havin been at Hooters last Sunday? That was a good time.


C) I avoid this forum like the plague for several reasons and havin skimmed some of the submissions, I see why.
