Welcome to the 700 FFL

Week 4 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-

B Favre 37 pts (The ageless wonder throws for 300 yds and 4 TD's. It wasn't enough for the Packers to win the game but the big points and back door cover filled pockets as well as win columns of fantasy owners and degenerate gamblers alike.)

Honorable mentions- E. Manning 35 pts (Is he for real? Not sure but you can't argue with the highest scoring team right now.)

Dud Player of the Week- NE Defense -4 pts (With Harrison, Johnson and Bruschi out LT and Gates just had a field day. Tattoo is still sipping kool aid and grabbing breasts though.)

Dishonorable mention- M Pollard -2 (Lost fumble and a game winning TD catch called back. Not a good week for Airborne or his #1 TE.)

A.W.O.T.W- Inked Up (Half the team on a bye and the players he did have available did nothing. After taking a 50 pt beating and now a 34 pt whippin he is looking for a breakout in Week 5. In the meantime he is enjoying the cold beer and free wings.)

Dishonorable mention-
Rosenwhores 25 pt lost (Ran up againest the evil forces of the Darkside. Birddroppings was looking for revenge and took it out on Johnsons crew this week.)

C.O.T.W- SkillzFromPhilly (Skillz has quietly won 3 straight and slowly creeping up the standing and looking for InappropriateComets number one spot.)

Coaching Blunders of the week- F-wood Brickhouses (In a almost prophetic fashion Hooky sits P Manning the week he throws for 4 TD's. It didn't cost him the win and personally I would have started Palmer also but I need someones stones to break. )

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- E Manning (The Prince of the Dark Robes snags little brother Eli and wins big this week because of it.)

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- K Curtis 5 pts
(Birdroppings while making a brilliant pick up of Manning fell victim to the FF prognosticators belief that I Bruce abscence out of the line up equaled a big day for Curtis. Curtis's 78 yards and lost fumble suggest otherwise. )

Quote of the week:

"Of course this is the week he throws for 4 td's. "- TheHulk_NJ

Welcome to the 700 FFL

Week 5 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-

D Bledsoe 30 pts (290 yards in the air and 3 TD's. Did I mention he didn't get sacked and rushed for 15 yds to add insult to injury.)

Honorable mentions- T. Brady 30 pts (350 yds and 3tds, three guesses as to whom sat him on the bench this week?)

Dud Player of the Week- C Baker -1 pt (The Queens native was suppose to be a safety valve for Vinny if he got in trouble. Instead he came away with 11 receiving yds and a lost fumble.)

Dishonorable mention- D Stallworth 0 pts (130 receiving yards one week and 6 the next. Duece done for the season. Saints fans are scrambling for the paper bags again. But on the bright side they could be Lions fans.)

A.W.O.T.W- Drunken Kennedys ( The intoxicated draft dodging tree huggers received a 4 star beat down by Airbornes right wing Buck o' Five army.)

Dishonorable mention-
SkillzfromPhilly (I don't think it was a sports hernia but Skillz suffered stomach pains after his 40 pt loss and giving Tattoo his first and maybe only victory of the year.)

C.O.T.W- Inked Up (Tattoo gets his first win of the year with solid production from Hasselbeck and Tatum Bell. Can he ride this victory into the playoffs like last year?)

Coaching Blunders of the week- BISC Shipbuilders (Instead of handing the Darksiders their second defeat of the season he gift wraps a victory by playing B Edwards over Moulds as his number #1 receiver. )

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- J Jurevicius 19 pts (Jerobi sustained his first check in the L column this week but he made a brilliant pick up of J Jurve off the waiver wire)

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- S Heiden 1 pts
(Heiden is the definition of inconsistent. Catches two TD's one week and then get 11 yards after that.)

Quote of the week:

No quote this week. What happened to all the spirited smack talk?

Yeah, I've been waiting for the onslaught. I guess you are just waiting until you are at least ahead of me in points at 4-1 vs. my 0-5 before you start in on me. Smart move. I have to be leading the league in Points against (though Yahoo does not show that stat) and I still have to play Donatello this week.

Welcome to the 700 FFL

Week 6 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-

S Alexander 38 pts (140 yards 4 rushing TD's on the hapless Texans and could have scored more. Is it just safe to play whomever is going againest Houston each week?)

Honorable mentions- L. Tomlinson 35 pts (1 rushing, 1 recieving and 1 passing TD. Look up the definition of FFL stud and you see LT on the page. Julius Jones and Brian Westbrook only dream of being this good.)

Dud Player of the Week- D Culpepper 6 pts (The Vikings ship is sinking fast but with all the booze and whores no one seems to notice it. Dante was on pace for MVP type numbers last year. This year he has 3x as many INT's as he does TD's.)

Dishonorable mention- R Williams 2 pts ("We be burning...." Ricky was only able to muster up 8 rushing yards againest the stout run D of the swishy shirt pirates.)

A.W.O.T.W- Ann Arbor Arrogance 87 pts (The Ann Arbor Embarrassment experienced their 6th loss of the season and got doubled up on like shots of Rumple at a local bar. Glenn's lucky championship hat needs to be burned because he is now the only winless squad in the league.)

Dishonorable mention-
Inked up (Last weeks COTW has a big downer this week as he can't break the fitty mark. Tatt better hope that he was just snake bitten by the bye week blues or it might really be his one and only win last week.)

C.O.T.W- Darksiders (Birddroppings goes on a 3 game win streak after that early season trip up. Scores the weeks and seasons high score to date, hands last years champ their sixth loss and proves he is the real deal as the #1 seed in the league.)

Coaching Blunders of the week- Chinatown Cowbells (With the Skillz vs Uber battle being the closest having known that both Dillon and Foster were out with injuries might have helped Uber get some waiver wire pick up and possibly won his match. Word to the wise- CHECK THE INJURY REPORT EACH SUNDAY.)

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- H Miller 13 pts (Heath has a big day with Hines Ward out of the game as he gets 72 receiving yards and down of the touch variety. Drunken Kennedys do themselves well with the pick-up as they try to get to the .500 mark.)

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- B Finneran 0 pts
(Finneran who had a season high 102 yards last week came back with zero catches this week because Ron Mexico only completed three passes to the WR. Just proving that Schaub is a QB and Vick is a RB. )

No more undefeated teams and only 3 teams with 5-1 records. Who will make it to the top and stay there?

"Championship Hangover"
Its not mathematically set yet but last years champ may not even make the playoffs this year unless he can run the table which is highly unlikely. At least he can relish his last second Big Blue victory over PSU aided by questionable referee calls and Joe Pa deciding to kick off to a dangerous return man.

"6 down, 6 to go"
Half way point in the season.

Jerobi is indeed the coach of the unstoppable Comets. Jerobi has now witnessed the Hulk recaps of this year, and has judged them to be stellar.

Jerobi wishes early pity on the squad known as "Inked Up," probably some reference by someone too focused on tattoos. Although it cannot be confirmed on Sundays, jerobi is vaguely familiar with IU's Andre Johnson - didn't he used to play WR?

In other fantasy football news, jerobi expresses his condolenses to fellow owners of Griese, owned in jerobi's dual-QB other league. This, added to a bye week, will force jerobi to start either Wrong from Baltimore or the grandfather that pretends to fill in for Bulger, with an off chance of snagging Holcomb from the waivers.

Don't look now, but the scoreboard already has Alexander as scoring two TDs, and it's only the first half of Week 7.

Welcome to the 700 FFL

Week 7 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-

L Jordan 34 pts (122 yards 3 rushing TD's and 40 receiving yards as the ex-Jet rumbled againest the Buffalo D.)

Honorable mentions- C. Portis 29 pts (Clinton cartwheels his way into the endzone for 3 TD's as the Native Americans feast on the Rice a roni crew and score 52 points.)

Dud Player of the Week- Buffalo D 0 pts (The vaunted Buffalo D of last year got shredded on the ground as L Jordan had his best game of the season.)

Dishonorable mention- A Boldin 1 pt (The Cards top flight receiver was held catchless on Sunday and was only able to muster one point on a 15 yard reverse play. The Titans aren't known to have a shutdown secondary and Pac Man Jones has a been a dissappointment so far this year. But he was in Boldins pocket all day.)

A.W.O.T.W- F-wood Brickhouse 36 pts (The Darksiders are handing out whuppins like Halloween candy. Hooky was hoping for some Butterfingers and maybe a Snicker or two, instead all he got was a bag full of beatdown.)

Dishonorable mention-
Ann Arbor Arrogance 26 pts (The Ann Arbor 0-phers are getting tagged and passed around each week like a drunken coed at a frat party. This week it was BISC's turn has he gave the ex champ his 7th loss. Making him THE only winless team and the first person in the history of the 700 Level FFL to win a championship and then not make the playoffs the following year.)

C.O.T.W- Drunken Kennedys (The Boston Bluebloods come through again as they win for the second week in a row bringing themselves to the .500 mark and possibly getting themselves into the playoffs. Talon is becoming a waiver wire maven as two weeks in a row he good production from his selections.)

Coaching Blunders of the week- Buck o'Five (AE's streak of not being on the Blunders list is broken as he does not go out and get a back up for Julius Jones. Especially since Barber was available and ran for 95 yards.)

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- A Chatman 9 pts (Not exactly world beater numbers but when you have most of your guys injured or on a bye some points is better than none. Especially when 9 or 10 pts could be the difference between winning and losing.)

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- E Drummond 0 pts
(The former Nittany Lion now Detroit Lion came up lame in the pregame workout and missed out playing entirely leaving Tattoo with a shorthanded line up two weeks in a row.)

I have no idea what you mean. But to date you have 584 ponts. Third from the bottom and it doesn't matter how many points you score if its not more than they guy you are matched up againest. If you're curious and I'm sure you are. I have 601 points. Doesn't matter if you win by 1 pt or 100 pts, just win. (That sounded like a bad Fast n the Furious line.)

It's called, "Strength of Schedule", Hulk. Pretty common term in football....

Obviously, if you are averaging only 2.5 points per week than me but you are 6-1 while I am 0-7 then you are having a DECIDEDLY easier go of it each week based on points scored against you.

Not that I am bitching cause I had a pretty easy go of it last year. Plus there is no money on the line.
