Situation is this:

- 12 team league
- 3 divisons
- Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 kicker, and a defense
- I'm in first place in my division by 1/2 game (a tie, if you can believe that).

My Team is:

- Mcnabb
- Stephen Davis (Bench: Chris Brown)
- Deuce Mcallister (Bench: Mike Anderson)
- Roy Williams
- Joe Horn (Bench: Derrick Mason)
- Keenen McCardell (Bench: Muhsin Muhammad)
- Paul Edinger (Bench: Akers- injured)
- Bucs Defense

I've been trying to consolidate my roster so I have room to add players for the bye week, as my philkosophy was to take "best available" in the draft, completely ignore bye weeks, and trade the extra talent 2 for 1 down the road.

I'm in a keeper league that keeps a minimum of 2 players, but there will be a vote to expand that to 4 players sometime this year.

I've been throwing trades put like a mad man and finally got the one I was looking for...

I get: Jamal Lewis
Other guy gets: Davis and Muhammad

This is a no-brainer, correct? I think it is, but it seems too good to be true so I wanted to make sure I'm not missing some insider info that is going to make me look foolsh.

Lewis is the kind of player I've targetted from the beginning (underachieving, bad team, young from the keeper perspective, and on a fantasy team that is struggling mightily..willing to cut bait too quickly) and Davis/Muhsin are the kind of guys I'd want to deal (older, injury prone (Davis), exceeding expectations, and in Davis's case- on pace for 24 rushing TDs...ain't gonna happen).

Am I missing something or just making out here?

Stephen Davis is going to do better this year. Baltimore is so one dimensional, defending teams only have to concentrate on Lewis. However, Davis is more likely to get worn out. Muhammad certainly won't be lighting the world on fire with Orton at QB.

I guess it comes down to a gamble whether Davis gets injured or not.

I made the deal and Lewis cam up with a nice game for me this week, but McAllister went down with a torn ACL. There goes my super backfield.

OUCH that rots!

well, people are picking up A Smith to replace Mcallister but Steckler was solid last year with Deuce out. Reports are saying that they'll split.

For what it's worth.

As mentioned in another post, I am hurtin for a decent QB. I have been offered Byron Leftwich for Marion Barber. My QBs right now are Gus Frerotte and Josh McCown. Considering I already have Westbrook, Alexander, and Dunn at RB, I am ready to pull the trigger. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Leftwich is no huge prize, but you're all set at RB and Barber's value will slow at best and drop off a cliff at worst. I think it's a good trade for you.

I also offered Barber, Frerotte, Witten, and Duckett for Kerry Collins and GLew. No takers. So I was forced into starting Frerotte. Resulting in: HIGH SCORE FOR THE WEEK
