i'm dumb and a homer and i don't follow football enough. needless to say, i'm in a FF league with some friends.

plz help me pick who to dump and who to start.

You might as well mail it in. Your RBs are brutal, your WRs aren't much better and you're looking to pick up a guy who will be a backup on a roster if he can get signed.

my thinking is... if i never heard of the players, i'm not going to give a damn about my FF team, except the team name.

OK, just saying, it would be nice if more than one of the RBs you drafted was going to play in the NFL this season.

Your team still looks shaky, but you did well for yourself in those trades. You could still use a second running back with Turner hit or miss, but picking up Taylor was a very nice move even though it cost you a WR.

If McNabb can keep dumping 35 points per week on you, you'll stay in contention.

Dual QB league, 10 teams. Third year of this format, and yes - we're crazy in this league.

10 teams x 3 QB (2 starters, one spare) means that not much is left. It's not uncommon for guys to hold four QBs, or even stash five to screw someone in desperate need.

I'm in a strong 2nd place. I held on to Trent Green until week 7 or 8 before finally cutting the cord on his concussed ass. Now PFT is reporting that Green will start a week earlier than most were expecting. It's a perfect storm of QB bad news for my weak-but-lucky QB core. I'm left with:

1) Huard - who I was counting on for decent points again, but now seems benched and at best will be a game time decision.
2) Carr - who is always a little better than people give credit for, but feels shaky with the recent benching(s).
3) Seneca Wallace - Will Matt H. return this week? Won't know until he practices again on Friday.
4) Brunnel - garbage, I know, but now benched garbage.

Keep in mind that this is standard scoring, plus a half point per completion. So seeking out the garbage time QBs isn't a bad strategy.

Now I'm screwed. The waiver wire consists of Brad Johnson and A. Watters (Walters? Who cares) from Oakland.

I need to start two guys. Carr is my only definate, and that isn't saying much. Huard and Wallace might be game time decisions, and I won't be home on Sunday. The new kid starts for Brunnel, but is Washington giving up all hope on the season and ready to stick with new blood?

I'm thinking I practically HAVE to put a claim in on Johnson, or someone will snatch him just to screw me this week. I'll part ways with Wallace as soon as I see Hasselback start a game, but that doesn't apply today. Huard might still have value if Trent can't get his brain together after getting hit again. I don't think dropping any other non-QB is worth it.

Dropping Brunnel is the smart pick here, right? I guess if the Skins win, they stick with the kid. And if they lose, they're in too deep a hole to bother starting Brunnel again, right?

Damn me for not grabbing Romo in those first few hours...

That strange. I went to put in the waiver claim and it let me just grab him today.
