Fantasy "experts"

Has anyone ever found a so-called "fantasy expert" who actually has accurate opinions? So many of these guys are clueless clowns.

The worst are the former NFL players. These guys don't have the faintest clue when it comes to fantasy football, and Jaws is at the bottom of the barrel. He's always gonna pick a quarterback wayyyy too high. I remember last year when he said, "You gotta take Tom Brady high. Why? Because he's a winner. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will win a lot of football games." Unfortunately, there are no fantasy points for wins, but thanks for playing, Jaws.

I'm pretty convinced that it takes absolutely no record of success or knowledge of fantasy football to proclaim yourself a fantasy football expert and receive a national column or slot on TV. These guys just make a lot of arrogant pronouncements, most of which are dead wrong (but who remembers by next week?), while some assertions are correct by dumb luck. All you have to do is act like a pompous ass and you can have your own fantasy football column or TV show.

So there are plenty of jobs out there for Glenn or BD.

The same goes for gambling "experts" a.k.a. con men.

Have you ever tried buying one of those football gambling guides with their 5 "stone cold mortal locks"?

I've always wondered how accurate they were.

C'mon Talon--they say it's a "stone-cold mortal lock" and I believe them.
