The 700 Level FFL Recap 07'

Week 2 (Ohhh and 2..):

Stud Player(s) of the Week- C. Palmer 51 pts (I am still trying to wrap my head around how a team can score that many points and LOSE.)

Honorable mentions- S Smith 33 pts (Steve Smith looks like he is back to old self as he goes for over 150 yds and 3td's)

Dud Player of the Week- Lee Evans 1 pt( The Steel Curtain D held this receiver to 7 total yards. Doesnt help NovaEagle any either.)

A.W.O.T.W- PlayertobeNamedLater 51 pts (The Hulksters show that they will be a team to reckon with as they lay out a major beatdown)

Dishonorable mention- Whippin Post 31 pts (Tattoo's team always start out slow then gain steam as the year goes on. Can the whippin post deal out some whippins instead of receiving them?)

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- K Jones (Johnson bolsters his backfield with Jones who should help on bye weeks and when the high flying offense decides to run the ball )

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- N/A

C.O.T.W- Coach of the week honors goes to Uber and his Ubertown DudeMonkeys. With some key pick ups on the waiver wire and shrewd moves he has set himself at 3rd place and a 2-0 start.

"PA VS MI" -The Eagles take on the Deeeetroit Pussycats and PSU take on the Maize heads.

"The Phightins" - The Phils are inching closer and closer to the Mets. Can they win either the Division or the Wild Card?

Come on Hulk, the Post scored 118 points I only LOST by 31 but come on I went againt your stud of the week Mr. Palmer and I believe he had either Chad or TJ as well...
scoring 118 points should be good enough to win most weeks, just not last week...

The best has to be I was going againest a guy in one of my money leagues who had Curtis on his team but he benched him. Those points would have helped him win.

I'll bet a ton of fantasy matchups were won and lost with Curtis on the bench.

In my money league (which I'm currently getting slaughtered in), my opponent last week had Curtis AND Favre on the bench and still beat me by 40 points.

Roy Williams, for one. He was worth 46 points in that league last week.

It was a bloodbath and I'm 0-3 in that league.

My team in that league is just a mess. it's a limited keeper, but my picks were essentially:

- Gore (keeper)
- Holt (keeper)
- Ronnie Brown
- Lee Evans
- Mark Clayton
- Kitna
- Brandon Jackson

The only one of those clowns who has panned out thus far is Kitna (of all people) and I traded Ronnie Brown a couple days before he exploded. Bad year over there.

WOW. Your team is brutal. Well on the bright side I only have Gore to worry about being affected with your fantasy jinx.

I thought the tide was turning. I really did.

I won my baseball league that matters and cleared almost a G, but the Fantasy Gods have decided I'm going to get bitchslapped in foosball.

I did make deals to add Darrell Jackson, Brandon Jacobs, and Santana Moss. I also picked up Derrick Ward, Donte Stallworth, and had Deshaun Foster on my bench.

I gave up Brown, Brandon Jackson, and other bench players to make those deals (which were good ones, IMO), but the only reason I was able to get those guys is because they were all hurt to off to bad starts, so I'm behind the 8-ball no matter what.

It's a 14 team league so the talent pool is thin, but my team's crappiness is legendary so far.

Regarding our little 700level league, I had 6 starters out last week...5 injuries and a bye.

I need to reverse the curse!

Yeah, I've been missing the weekly assessment of my beat-downs. Thanks very much Mr. Autodraft for the high round Brees & Colston picks that you gave me.

F this league.

F my entire team.

With most of my team hurt (as usual) and the normal bye nightmares, Portis, Warner, Maroney, and Rudi Johnson get a combined 4 points for me.

4 points!

I'm have a fire sale, but I'd rather just light them all on fire.

You know your teams stinks when you were manhandled by the likes of Wes "The Real White Lightning" Welker and Derek Anderson.

Well I am a PERFECT 10!!! dam I blame Hulk for "being to busy" to do his weekly updates that my team used as motivation... without it they caved like Bobby Petrino...
